STARTIN' OFF 2018 WITH A SHITPOST THREAD OPEN TO ALL!!!


I made this thread at the suggestion of Radji!

Only rules are... well, there aren't any. General site rules, I mean? Just have fun. Doodle a little.

I guess to help economize, if you have multiple images to submit, put them in one post? But that's more just a general courtesy over a hard rule.

But yeah, man, have fun!

Here's some to start off:

Okay, so I don't keep flooding the Character Redesign Jam, and because it doesn't fit the other JRPG Classes Jam, I decided best to make this its own jam!

Rules:

1) Original designs only. There's already a jam for copyrighted/already-made costumes. It's also really fun to design JRPG costumes!

2) Please add a bit of flavor text for what their story's like! And if you do, because this is an AU, try to make their story lighter and happier this time around, fitting a game like Dragon Quest instead of a story like Game of Thrones. Canon can be as dark and moody as you want; take a break from that!

3) In line with Rule 2, this'll be a kid-friendly jam!

4) If your character is already very JRPG-styled (for example, Gwen's a mage; Kars is a lich), try to redesign their costume and give new flavor text!

So, examples:



Charlotte Gray as a dark mage, who wanders in catacombs and graveyards. The locals think she's a frightening spirit! But she's just kind of lonely, and will join your party if you're nice to her.
(I think Shen mentioned a game where after leaving a certain forest, someone's just in your party, without any explanation, so that too!)



Wizzie Belles is a traveling witch who goes town-to-town to help people. However, her magic can sometimes backfire, so she's loved in some towns, hated in others. (Poor Wizzie...)



Shift is a human [!] mage who is very talented, and enlisted by the kingdom to help those in trouble in various towns; he was raised exclusively in a mage training school, and this makes him really awkward, but he gets the job done.

Capslock's a robot assigned by the kingdom to protect Shift on missions. He's served the kingdom for many years and thus shows some wear; but he's considered more capable than many of the kingdom's human knights.

Jiko is a young alchemist/medic who is trying to figure out how to break a powerful hex on her-- she regenerates, but draws bad luck. She accompanies Capslock and Shift after they save her life from a bunch of bandits attacking the village.

This is for posting characters or possible matchups for Void Heavyweight 2016, pretty self-explanatory.

Heyo, it’s Mortooncian! I’m opening up commissions for rendered traditional drawings, and basic digital paintings.

Pieces will take a week to two depending on complexity, and will be done first come first served. However, I may finish it even faster than that! (Sometimes, I have same-day turnaround!)
