This is such a cute comic from both! I love both your styles.

SirJelly - This is probably the most polished looking pencils I have ever seen.  I love how fluid everything is and very pleasing to look at. The style is just lovely and  characters feel so animated.

Nothin - I've complimented your inking style and I will do so again. Love the strong outlines and choices  on where to spot black. WIsh the comic didn't end too abruptly but it's still a pretty cute story overall.

Jelly: man even if this is just sketches, they're some nice looking sketches. Really enjoy the "hatching" you did, too, to denote tone! My main critiques come from the fact that it's unfinished, though I think I would've liked to have seen more from Zalice before she got poofed, lol.

Nothin: Damn those are some good inks. Also I love the panel of irritated Shmagic on page 3, where she turns all boxy haha. I think I agree with what's been said in that, while I know there's technically no requirement to have x amount of interaction between characters, the comic felt like it was much more about Shmagic and her date mate than about Zalice--who could've easily been replaced with any other Kaiju, really. Still, I did really like the Get Along Shirt solution lol

SirJelly: OH MAN I love the way you give not only the characters but the buildings such a feeling of form even though they're simplified and sketchy.

Nothin: Awwww, that was sweet. Zalice in a get-along shirt was the kind of solution only a toony magician could come up with. Though it kind of feels like they didn't really have much to do with each other...

To SirJellyRaptor(open to comments/critiques):
-I LOVE the face you gave Shmagic in page 2 and the ._. on page 4 in particular! Overall, that magic trick is very creative and hilarious.
-Actually I just really like how you drew Shmagic overall LOL, despite not being your character
-I like the use of negatives when Shmagic jumps into the hat too

Critique:
-Very sketchy/guidelines are still visible. Well, and obviously just not being finished despite the really crisp sketches. I don't know if you planned on continuing the comic further, but in case you didn't: I would've liked a bit more focus on your own character. Maybe they would've turned into their monster form to smash their way out of the rooms in the hat, or straight up out of the hat?
---

To Nothin(open to comments/critiques):
-Shmagic is hilariously grumpy, and I love it
-I like the backgrounds being very clear when the "kaiju's" are in the get along shirt haha
-The relationship is super cute, and I like the solution Shmagic uses haha! The second-to-last panel has just such a lovely pose toooooooo~
-the hamster-like kaiju has an adorbs design

Critique:
-In the final panel, it seems like Shmagic's head/body-width has shrunk noticeably from the previous panel. IDK if they can change sizes though, so maybe that's normal
-a little more time/detail in Zalice's panels, maybe more line weight and variation would really help them "pop." Plus, the background in their introductory panel is very sketchy and seems unfinished
-I was a little confused at first, on the first page, because with repeated jostling of the characters it could've been read from both right to left or left to right. I think that cutting out the first "ow." panel and just moving the final "OUCH." panel in it's place would've worked a bit better? Then swapping the question-panel and the "jostling around" panel as well. ((sorry if this explanation is a bit confusing too hahaaaa)

Jelly - This art style <3 even your sketches have quality. I loved all the quirky background characters and everything is just looks so SOFT.
The conflict had me on the edge and I was kinda sad that it ended on such a cliffhanger.
Very nice work.

Nothin - all very solid artwork. I loved the energy you gave Shmagic and the emoting was fantastic. I thought the resolution wasn't very satisfying.
Like, we can't just poof all our problems away, can we?
O_0 CAN WE!?!?!?

Good job, dudes! You both get the highest of fives from me.

Hat dimension shenanigans and adorable friendship shirt of smelly coexistence! These two very different comics were marvolous in their own regard.

Sirjellyraptor - I recommend sticking with a uniform format for the page length throughout the comic. The background characters were great and your visualization of effects and action was magical. Good luck with them classes!

Nothin - A day in the life of a Void City magician. The line work here is polished and stunning. There needs to be more Shmagic in our future.

These were both so fun haha

SirJelly - Oh I LOVE this concept! The idea of Shmagic having to track down Zalice in a weird hat dimension is great, I look forward to the finished version. I love the imagery on page 8 especially, and everyone looks so cute! Also, I know this is unfinished, but the background on the first page was hard to make out whereas later on in the comic, the backgrounds are clearer? I think you should make sure the establishing shot at least is the clearest background to ground the comic.

Nothin - Really enjoyed the expressions and poses here, they were just goofy and funny. I freakin love the other kaiju’s face, and the double best friend’s shirt. Also Shmagic and her gf (?) are super cute. Zalice felt kind of like an NPC though, with little time to shine compared to Shmagic.

So like I said on the Discord, I was unfortunately unable to finish my comic, summer courses kicked into higher gear than I was expecting, but I am pretty happy with what I was able to get in. I'm definitely gonna come back to this one later and get it finished up. Nothin, I know I already told you this, but Shmagic is such a fun character to draw, I'm glad I got a chance to battle with her.

also sorry about the lack of text on page 4, I wasn't sure quite what to put there and ran out of time .
