Really like your use of comic type in these pages! Well done, colours were nice too - what I will say is that I feel that there should be a page between these two pages because it literally goes "It was just a jo-DIE MOTHERFUCKER" pretty much, and though I understand that you're trying to portray the rapid progression of his form it just seemed a little bit too abrupt for my personal tastes, if you had a page showing the transformation it may have explained a couple of more things a little easier, also it would have been nice visuals!

Now get battling and start fuckin' up all our characters with your beautiful scars.

Pocketmouse: Thanks for the crit. I hadn't really considered those things, but you have inspired me. I will definitely work on more indepth backstory for him. he was originally a character I had designed for an SDT, so I never gave it much thought.

Also, I do have a more indepth story planned for THE BEAST with his girlfriend Rebecca and the VCPD.

The main inspiration for his mental state and the transformation was in part The Hulk. I remember reading one comic where Tony Stark was analyzing the transformation and says how it's a rapid expansion and duplication of every cell simultaniously, which causes the Hulk to go berserk like he always does due to the extreme pain. So yeah, it hurts. A lot.

Okaaay firstly I really like the colours and textures. It compliments your ink well and I prefer it to the starker black/white stuff.

I'll admit I felt like his backstory was a tad weak. I don't mean that in a nasty way or anything  but I was expecting something a bit more that he got punched in the face and got angry suddenly THE BEAST. Like he'd never endured anything like that before and that was all it took to turn him into a beast forever? I don't feel that you explored it enough and I would really have liked to have seen from the beasts own perspective how it felt to feel all control and restraint drain away. Had he ever felt it inside him before for example? Did it hurt to transform? Did some other stress underlying in his life contribute? Like if he and his ladyfriend had been arguing or she had cheated on him maybe it would have built up more empathy with how he was, and given a real sense of loss when he transformed?

Something with a bit more depth would have been much more exciting, since the character as a concept is very very cool and I'm all for mindless violence and whatnot but I can't help but feel that way about this as it is now.

Beyond that stuff I do like the comic and the character and I guess if there is more story to the character later later I'll gladly take back what I've just said. Give us more!
