I really enjoyed this comic, it’s a great bridge between hw and the comics after. Also i will always respect showing the nudity in those etheral scenes over just making the characters barbie dolls, so hood on you for that as well. Interested to see how the partial resurrection effects her.

Thank you all for such wonderful comments!! This BB had been sitting in my lap for so long that I had started to think the worst of it, so you really helped me turn that around ; ;

Gorgeous artwork & solid writing.
I adore how soft and dreamy the other realm looks. Solar's design was truly other-worldly and imposing, especially at the start, this is my first introduction to this side of Crikey's story and you've got me hooked!
The pages where Crikey is brought back to life were effective, I mean damn, those expressions were top-notch! Great job there. I liked that you made this an unsettling event, instead of a majestic, magical revival, which is more on-brand for magical girls. I also loved that final panel with the dead stare, that was powerful.

nitpicky crit incoming- I wish the final scene was longer and more fleshed out. For me personally, it felt like a moment where she see's her brother again deserved more than a page. I would've loved a bb where she has to psyche herself up to see him again and there's more build-up to that actual reunion. I think it would've hit EXTRA hard. What you did here was great, but I'm a drama queen & wanted more haha.

This was a wonderful comic, full of seriously impressive art so Fantastic job overall. Inspiring stuff!

I know I mentioned this directly to you, but I love this comic so much I wanted to scream its praises here.

Of course, the color palette, paneling setup and dialogue are so delicious- but the dynamic poses and Crikey's expressions are incredibly well done!! The curling in of her body in page 6 flowed tastefully, and her anguish in page 8 are so highly felt from expression! Absolutely inspiring, amazing job girl!!!

This comic was so visually stunning. The last bit warms my heart so so much, it was such a bittersweet reunion. Your mastery of anatomy and posses never ceases to amaze me! I LOVE this comic to bits!! AMAZING job!!

Wonderful display of your Art Skills you got here. I didn't understand all the references at first but after a little research I manage to piece together what is happening. Hopefully we see more of Crikey Dile in the near future

This was GREAT! The art is so heavenly. I find most afterlife/god interactions in fiction very cliched and too human, but this felt like just the right amount of original and emotional for someone to be judged by a god kindly after they die. Such a good comic!

Ahhh love the palette for the limbo Crikey was brought to! It feels really soft and dreamy, and I like that Solar’s skin and speech boxes reflected it. I enjoyed Solar’s design too, it was simple but effective. The eyes on their mask gave this calming and serene feel, they honestly give me the impression of a Biblical type angel? Especially with the light of their true face burning Crikey at first and the sort of immense, undefinable body shape. On the writing front I agree with what others have said, it’s really cool that you’ve found a way to use what Kozi did in HW to reflect Crikey’s canon, and I’m glad we finally get to see what went on between that time and the present! I also like that you had Crikey’s body stay in the physical realm so she had to break out of the morgue, rather than just being whisked back from the afterlife or something. The shrine/altar for her was a nice touch too.

My only crits are somewhat nitpicky and if you’re doing things this particular way to put less strain on your hands or something I totally get it and you can ignore me, but I’d like to see you try hand drawn textures rather than use brushes. The uniformity of the stars around Solar caught my eye, and a lot of the backgrounds to me felt somewhat stark because I could see there was no shading, only a black texture brush used (e.g. the morgue wall and cordoned off area behind Crikey’s shrine). For walls and stuff you could try hatching or just using lots of little dots and random lines to imply texture (Kubo and Sean do this well). For things like the clouds in the limbo, you could try swirls of of darker and lighter shades (Badger does stellar magic this way) or just shadows to define their volume more. There’s nothing wrong with using brushes to add further texture, and for the most part they work well here, but when they’re used alone and often the effect can be a little artificial.

I've already gushed about this in VC to you, but I just love the colors so much here. Your anatomy is something I continue to be inspired by. I love how you integrated Remy's comic in a way that bridged the gap between the way Kozi portrayed Crikey and her actual canon. I can't wait to read what happens next!

That was very classy, pretty, and had excellent transitions. Talk about a very enjoyable read where all the characters felt just right.

Your art work is so nice and I love the colors you did for the afterlife? Not sure, but really enjoyed this!
