Well, the only default I have ever had and WILL ever have. I apologize for it but for me it was patently unavoidable at this time. My mother came into town earlier than planned(she was due in August, with my father in tow) but moved it up because my father had to have surgery for cancer. Due to this, I was unable to do any work and was busy with family matters.
I will finish my comic and do it as a BB, I owe these two that much. I was super excited about it and only the family circumstances kept me from getting it done on time. Again, I'm sorry and take full blame for it. Congrats, both Graten and Kent.

Thanks for the crits : D I'll make some notes and try to get better for my next battle!
I know my backgrounds kinda really suck, this was actually one of my first times really drawing things like 'em (I ain't gonna lie, I'm proud of them~) but I do believe I am going to have to do some major work on just drawing rooms and places for a while. As for all the SD moments, originally this comic wasn't supposed to be funny and didn't have a whole lot of the tiny versions of people, but I kinda bit off more than I could chew (learned some of my limits with this comic haha) and to crank out all the pages, I see lookin back, I took a few to many shortcuts :/ which is my fault, but hey it's a learning experience
Mister K- Awww that so sweet if I could live with stumps I'd totally donate my hands to ya XD and your story was great! Ya missed the mark on Lived's persona a wee bit, but that's probably my fault I should make his profile a bit more clear, oh well you did such an awesome job it doesn't matter! And Voland looked awesome :3 Like really uber awesome~

Thanks for the crits! I really tried not to lose steam, and I think the first five pages are my most complete *comic* yet! I really focused on lines this time - I'll focus on color and finishing a damn comic next time!
Graten - I love how you draw! I want to take your hands and put them on my arms - I'll have a little more to say later~!

Graten-Nice first battle from you! I think you have a good start on Void overall, but I do have to echo what Fowlie said about all the super deformed panels. It kind of cheapens the impact of them when you use them so much. I think you overall had some good pacing with the exception of the SD gags. The other thing to watch out for is your backgrounds. It was definitely clear that less time was devoted to them in comparison to the characters. I think on the next comic you should cut your page count to bring your quality and detail up some since it was clear towards the end you were losing steam.
Mister Kent-your comics are always a joy to read and this time was no different. No complaints in the story department but like with Graten, it looks like you started to lose steam so your quality started to slip. I'd like to see you knock out a full color comic next time since your lineart really feels designed for color so it looks kind of empty when everything gets sparingly colored from page 6 onward. It looks like you did a better job with varying your linewidths this time around and I think it really helped. Just keep working on that and try to make your inking a tad smoother for a more clean look. Overall a pretty nice comic but your quality started to dip in the middle.

Graten: your first void comic and it's over 20 stacked pages AND a 3 way, very cool. I like that you jumped in head first, but I gotta say that was the only thing I really liked about this comic. The writing fell short, your text jokes felt really forced, and so did your visual ones.
I can appreciate you are trying to get some kind of manga feel with the art, but it looks lazy when every other panel a character is really super-deformed for the sake of a sight gag. Like how you drew the man Kotori was going to eat at the bottom of page 3. It didn't look funny to me so much as awkward and badly drawn. I really want to see you work on your style, and develop more subtlety in expressions, because right now everything is either poker faced or super deformed just to try and get a laugh, I think you are a better artist then that.
I look forward to reading your next battle.
Kotori: good job!
Kent: ahh everyone's fav blond! :3 I like this comic, your story telling improves with every battle. I wish you could have finished coloring, but your lines are so clear and nice I wasn't too disappointed.
But my problem is that Jane, Kotori and Lived all have the same face! Granted, they all have very similar designs, I've noticed this in other battles with other characters a few times too. I think you should take a little time and ad more diversity to your style so you can have 3 similar looking characters on a page and not have them look like triplies.
Keep up the great work!
