Sketch: So it's a fight oriented three page battle. There's not much to pull from it. I will say that watch narration during fights. They always seem to state the obvious. Reserve internal narration for moments that are not obvious in the panel. Just relax and let your artwork do the talking. That's what's nice about comics. You can do that.

There much to say about art. When you have a doorway looking more complete then everything, I'm sure you know what everyone is going to say. However I will say that I enjoy the sketchy scenes for the battles, as it makes them seem more fluid and feral.

Blackfiredragon: This is what I gathers from your fight: I killed some dudes in VOID city DUMP against the moon, detailed face, shadow in a cinderblock, tiny head Jira, jumps to Marbell, has him a file, file explodes/ farts, two Marbells, 'my god what have I done' face and lets fight. The End.  To be honest, I found it actually quite funny. Though I'm sure it wasn't your intension but without dialogue, your story doesn't flow very naturally.

However, the art in itself does look nice when you put the effort into it. You need to keep an eye on your anatomy, as your necks seem to grow long when a dramatic pose is needed.

not much to say as there wasn't much to talk about. especially in regards to story. sketch, that font is distracting & the colors of the captions clash with the tones of the rest. dragon, words would have been nice period, as the visuals didn't immediately convey much in the way of story.

Both of these are good starts,  but they need a lot more work.

You both could have done a lot more, it's a real shame neither of you could really give this your all. Since both of you have been around on Void for a long time I'm not going to give a lecture on time management or anything but I hope to see some finished work from you guys in the future.

Sketch- I cant even read your pages. Non of this looks finished, its inconsistent as hell go with one style - preferably one medium until you can do the shit out of it.

Dragon: When you use pencil it tends to make your work gray and whitish. Since you dont have inks to simplify the tonal range, you gotta work REALLY hard to work in as much value as you can get to do pencils. Otherwise it looks unfinished.
Dont depend on photoshop to tighten up the levels until YOU'RE DAMN sure it looks as good as it can on paper.

I couldn't see sketch's pages for beans. Too big=too hard to read and get a very good sense of anything. Except blobs. Please learn to scale your images down to size before you upload them. If this means you need to gague your time better so you don't rush it, it might be something to consider. Heavily. From what I could see that is exactly what this looked like: Rushed.

blackfiredragon: Well, what little you DID... it looked pretty good and showed improvement. Again, looks like problems managing time. We all need to take a page from Angie's book about time management. Wish I could have given better scores, but as it was, this was unfinished and more confusing than anything. I like that you are showing improvement, but work on completing things, too.

Pity neither side had things together this time. Better luck managing your time from now on.

Lol, yeah, im thinking of just doin some bb's to finish the battles I never did, and clear up the story, as well as show that I can finish something. Not to mention Dom would be a nice little addition to my non-existant character depth :).

Sketch: Fist match I've seen you in (yeah I don't watch every battle) and I must say that I liked what I saw. It wasn't amasing, but not average either, somewhat in between :) Nice colours and movement. but the pages was to huge. I gave you over average points all the way :)

BFD: It's like I've been saying everytime I comment on your art: You're improving alot every time you fight a new character and that is one of the many reasons I am a big fan. The story tho was a little confusing without any words and I had to put the entertainment vote down a little because of that. Overall great drawings, but I have to vote against you for the first time :) Maybe it's time I bring in Dom, don't you think? :)

sketch: yeah, the size is defenitlly a first problem about your comics, I had problem with reading it.

blackfiredragon: I understand that it's just a sketch, but I think that even empty bubbles could help with understanding that they are comunicating verbally too XD

And for all the voiders who im sure will have no idea whats going on. Jira is offering to gather intel for Marbell in exchange for instruction in swordfighting by a slayer of armies. Pretty much it.

Sorry for the incomplete entry sketch. A lot of crap going on on this end (including my car getting totalled :( ). The three Im turning in are pretty rushed, but anything is better than d-f, right?
