This bonus round was amazing!

Cab I was interested to see how you'd bring this Lynch we've grown to love into the 'present' of veruca's story. I'm definitely feeling more vested in Lynch's story and hope she can get her redemption soon. Also, thank you for making sweet old Gwen an integral part of this story. Keep it up!

Ponbiki/Footini awesome to see the return of ponbiki this way, this character is very intimidating. This collab looks great and the sad Connor made me cry. Would love to see more obsidian king!

cool stories, bros.

Can't believe cab is still out here, building on the same story, nothing wrapped up. he's out here like 'what tournament? i was just doing my usual 200 page void comic, released in manageable and casual 40 page installments, like I always do. oh, there's an opponent? right.. I mean, yeah, I took their input and suggestions to heart when I read I needed to use certain characters, like I always do. but i DO have a story to tell, ya know :? it's over when it's over lol. stay tuned till next week, with the thrilling... CONCLUSION? haha you'll get what you get when you get it and you'll LIKE IT.'

like ok dude chill, we'll tune in next time for the ending, ok ok, stop, they're already dead.

in case it was unclear, the above is supposed to be positive feedback.

pontini: I really liked page 12. it was a daring feat to try and produce an entertaining story with so little time and build up. But I do feel a disconnect with the characters, even though I get the feeling your side was supposed to be based off Cab's established canon. If there had been some emotional reunion with Connor before they all died, you might have beat Cab in the story telling arena. but the art is all pretty solid, so you gained some ground there.

it will be interesting to see how this tournament pans out and maybe I'll get to participate in the next one

Both comics are worthy of final round! Whoa

Cab - I am impressed by the lore building you do and your consistent  artwork quality all throughout. I sure hope Valka, Gwen and the others are gonna step in and kick the ass of Sir Gil and help Lynch remember some of her memories soon after the comic ended.

Footini and Ponbiki - wow, a team up I have never seen from a mile away. I enjoyed your comics through and through very engaging and the ending really tugged at my heartstrings. Would love to see more from both of you.

These two were amazing stories that I loved reading from end to end.

CAB - The story, the output you have, man I have watched you make some of these pages in real time and I'm still dumbstruck on how easily you make comic making. you Did great and win or lose, you should really be proud of your comic that you created and I hope to see how Conner is doing soon

Footini & Ponbiki - The Craftsmanship of the pages were well done and the linework is super solid from BOTH artists. it is a nice dungeon crawl that I did enjoy reading and those action beats were beast! Th e Obsidian King is one really interesting character and hopefully this isn't the last we have seen of them.

All you guys did great and take a freakng bow good people!!! Be proud of the grand showing you all did and I hope to see more comics from ALL OF YOU in the near future!!!

CAB- theres something nostalgic to me about your writing that I can't quite put my finger on, something that reminds me of the adventure cartoons I used to watch as a kid, and its always so pleasant. 40 pages... what a mouthful! I'm seriously impressed you were able to finish this many in 2 weeks!! But sometimes your stories tend to feel a little... padded, and I find myself skimming a bit. I think you should take a challenge to try and do a story more with visuals and less with text sometime. youve got great drama and action, and I'm super skeeved out by that knight and hoping Lynch can get her memories back and gutpunch him. I'm a little concerned the 'rescue connor' arc went unresolved, it just sort of petered off, with her having no memories left of him i would have maybe shown a panel at the end of where hes been just to show that even if Lynch did, YOU didn't forget him.

PONTINI: WHUF, such beautiful layouts!! You guys made the world look so big and OVERWHELMING, its wonderful! You made a very cool villain with the Obsidian King, I wish I could have done this tourney so I could have fought him! The action in this was fantastic but the end took me another pass. I didn't immediately get that breaking the dagger caused the explosion, but moreover i'm not sure sure WHY it did, and how everyone got turned to stone because of it- I would have liked another page somewhere in there explaining what just happened.

This was certainly a trip! Really nice work from both teams!

Cab, you never cease to amaze me with how many pages you're able to make in the time you have. The amount of details you put into the backgrounds and expressions are really nice on this comic. I agree with ponbiki that the amnesia ending was a bit disappointing, but I also am hoping that it leads to more stories on your part! I'm glad that you were able to tell part of Lynch's story through this tournament!

Footini/Ponbiki, I like how your styles meshed, and the story was an interesting one. It does feel a bit rushed toward the end, but it still stands on its own as a comic. The amount of gold you both had to render is ludicrous, but it turned out looking like a real treasure trove! It'd be interesting to get more stories about the Obsidian King, before he turned into what he is now.

That’s an awesome secret final boss round!
Both sides were amazing.

@Cab- Your stories are always entertaining, they have these layers of depth to them. I am always amazed at the amount of pages you crank out. Good job!

@Ponbiki and Footini- Your two forces combined well in this. I loved how clean and polished everything looked. The colors were great in this and I really liked the inks on page 12. Good job!

Once again I want to give a huge thank you Ponbiki for teaming up with me for this battle.  It was a genuine blast to work with him and I would always enjoy seeing each new page from him; Great work with the inks and bringing Obsidian King, Lynch, and the others to life in your style.
It was a great experience creating this classic D&D style villain to go up against the hero.  I would definitely jump at the chance to work with Ponbiki again in the future.

Cab- You're known for being prolific around here but dang, you really raised the bar on this round.  During this tourney Lynch has become one of my favorite characters of our lineup.  I almost would like to see her be her own character separate from Veruca .
I also liked how much you utilized O.K.  You really did a good job expanding on our character into an even bigger threat for the hero

Ponbiki and I- Yea deadlines are the one enemy that every voider must face.  Though despite being shorter than planned we still were able to get a fun, albiet, tragic, adventure for our heroes.made.
Who knows. Maybe we'll see more of Obsidian King one day.

I'm beginning to think that Gilcomgain fellow isn't as good as he acts... but seriously I crave the day I get to see him die I love a good character to hate. Holy fuck Cab! 40 pages! Insanity.

PonTini this was fantastic! Loved the goldening on page 6 and 7, all those mountains of coins!
This was a fantastic final boss for Lynch to face off with, and  a good duo to go against for the tournaments finale!

First I like to thank Footini for making this very fun. I had a blast seeing my inks colored up by Footini great job. Also Great job to Cab, Footini and I knew what we were up against... Wow! 40 pages how do you have time to do 40 pages in 14 days? This collaboration was really fun. I got to nerd out a bit with D&D knowledge and other folklore. I got to work with Ken and hopefully got a new friend out of it and maybe we can work on other projects in the future.

Cab.
I love the whole story arc. but totally hate the amnesia ending. I know its going to probably go into a future story arc but I feel it could had been kept out all together. And just left it with her friends looking for her. Even drawing out a funeral and all the people she saved attending would had been a better ending knowing she died a hero. then later starting up the loss of memory arc in a BB.  I just felt it was kind of anti- climatic ending for her awesome battle.  In my opinion at least.

Footini and I
We wish we had more time, we had such a amazing battle planned out but we just didn't have the time to do it.

Anyways thank you all and thanks for including me in this collaboration. And always remember have fun and no defaults.

Thank you all!
