Dammit - I HATE when the art is so cool, yet the english is poor! I know some people might not really care, but I find it very distracting when words as simple as "gonna" and "confinement" are misspelled!

No offense to you Pon, but I feel all artists need to at least consult a dictionary when lettering their fights if they are uncertain about the spellings of certain words.

That said - I totally dig your style, Pon! I don't think Red would stand a chance against him! But I will need to challenge you before I decide to kill Red off next year!!

Yooooo.  Good shit, got a lot of useful crits.  Words will never embody an entire frame on 100% opacity again.  Some of the middle pages were rushed; i inked out of sequence and was running low on time.  Thanks Pon, though it wore my ass out, overall i enjoyed doing this, and thanks to everyone for the comments.  Love and paysche.

Very cool works you two,  this was some good reading!  I gotta admit that I enjoyed the flow of Han's story more than Kaisho's, and Jake, your style is definitely improving, but Pon's brought some good stuff to the table as well.  I'm interested to see how Han might handle the predicament Kaisho's just given him on Ponbiki's end, and I also find it very cool that you both handled each other's characters wonderfully.  Keep up the good work.

PON, man..i have to give you props.  i liked the solid simplicity of your drawings.  the greys were really effective.  good stuff.   MADMAN, your stuff wasn't bad either, maybe next time throw in some grey scale or color and you are there, man.  good stuff, though, both of you.

ive always wanted to use a clotheline in a battle...but thats possibly the best one ive ever seen drawn, kudos on that

Ponbiki.... that was the sass.... like uber sass.... OMG SASS! Jake, you're always improving, and I know you were having some issues with the battle, but good job anyway. Ponbiki wins me over this time

Han : MAJOR improvement bud. I can see you've got a strong grip on frame composition and arrangement (and I especially love how some characters overlap the frame borders...I gotta do that some time...^^). Action direction is excellent with the exception of a few frames (the ever-infamous BLEED and CRASH frames), but overall well played. I would suggest playing around with line weights to help differentiate foreground and background objects/characters. You should also try to exagerrate motion a little more; some more action lines would have made the fight look MUCH cooler, IMO. Anyhow, I love the direction you took, throwing the end first and all, and I can't wait to see more from you. Who knows, Veiden might pay you a visit.

PONBIKI : AWESOMENESS INDEED. Dude you've got a killer style that just yells BADASS. Han looks frikkin MEAN. I'd play around with frame arrangement just a bit more to give a better flow for a couple pages, but otherwise, everyone else already pointed out the other things. Nice job ! So many people to challenge...O_O

but i think ponbiki did an awesome job. jake man, ur fight was great, but i the lack of shading made it difficult at time to make out what was going on.

Holy Crap! ... Ok ... that's pretty much a good sign for both of you as you can probably tell heh heh. Anywho I really liked what I saw in both comics, but my vote will be for Ponbiki unfortunetly

Ponbiki: I really enjoyed your comic artwise, storywise, and action wise. My only complaint is the movement of the characters... especially in the first page, Han just seemed to be 2 feet away from Ponbiki to me, personaly I'd make those speed lines a bit longer in order to show that Han moved a greater distance at a very quick speed. But aside from that your art won me over for this one, I look forward to more in the future (and durring the armaggedon battles as well )

Han: I do see an improvement in art quality, still not perfect (psst! I do know a perfect site that gives good hints and tips for perfecting comic art... let me know if you are interested) but for this battle I looked over it, I really liked how you approched this comic man, bringing the end first and beggining after that was pretty clever idea if you ask me, and showing an even crazier side to Han was a brilliant touch (He's a cannibal now... EEK!). My only complaint is that you shouldn't put sound effects over the art (main areas: the Giant BLEED letters made the art look messy, so did the CRASH panel) I'm not too proficiant in sound effects so the best thing I can say is that sometimes you should make the sound effects smaller, and the panel with BLEED could of easily been in the background and still have the same effect or better.

Anywho, I guess I was a bit generous due to what I saw here, seeing as how I really liked both suprizingly (sp?) anywho keep it up or something?

with waht i had Han doing. i totally loved when Han went crazy.
i had one problem the panel when Han stabs kaisho the first time.
if you would have played with the opacity on that layer it would have shown more of the drawing. but it was cool. thanks for playing. later. madman han was fun to draw.
