HAPPY NEW YEARS!
Another Year down, and now we have 2024 to look forward to.
We do apologize about being late on the monthly reviews, but we have many things that we are working on in the background in order to improve the EnterVOID experience!
A few things for us to look forward to are the yearly awards show, and our upcoming tournament Clash of the Chitin 2! We hope that you join us for those awesome events.
Now for those Monthly Reviews:
December Review
Once again the top 3 comics swept the categories in the same exact order so we shall list them by overall score:
Claiming the Top Spot of the Highest Scoring Comic in December is Monster Maker Round 3 by Badger (8.58 Overall)
The 2nd Highest Scoring Comic of December is Balloons by Radji (8.10 Overall)
The 3rd Highest Scoring Comic in December is Monster Maker Round 3 by DoeFr (7.39 Overall)
December's Staff Pick
One Raw Deal by Fluffsamasprime
This short and sweet death match is both thrilling and brutal! Starting in medias res, this comic gets straight to the action.
The quick pace of the story works in its benefit; there’s a tragedy here, between the confidence of Tether and the brevity of the fight scene. It also serves well to communicate how dangerous Ghoul is, with a line of dialogue that implies that this isn’t his cleanest kill. The same line also hints at a sense of empathy or sorrow for his victim. This comic is well-crafted and efficient, and a wonderful showcase of the artist’s skill in short-form comics!

January Review
The first month of 2024 has broken the sweep that the last 3 months have done!
So the comic that claims the top spot in both Quality (8.24) and Entertainment (7.76) is Elliott Clochard vs. Songbird by Putrid.
Claiming the top Creativity spot for January is Mouth Full of Blood by Kubo (7.29)
January's Staff Pick
Demon and Angel by swanpyart
Blake's story continues in this frankly stunning Beyond Battle by Swanpy. I honestly cannot praise this comic enough; the visuals, especially when Blake is raging, are so choice, and the story is my absolute favorite kind of story. This poor traumatized kid is finally learning to be kind to himself, and has realized, at least partially, that he's the only one who gets to decide who he'll be. Quicksilver was such an excellent foil for Blake here, too--an excellent example of utilizing another character to move your own story further, while not diminishing the other character's role. Also I'm just a huge fan of the way Swanpy draws/colors the glowing flames. In short: if you haven't read this already, go read it now!!
