I've been either busy, procrastinating or forgetful to say this but I agree with Heathen. Your character sheet meets all the criteria and I encourage you to submit whenever you have the time and if you are still dissatisfied with what you have you are always welcome to change and adjust the sheet as needed.

I agree with everyone in the discord servers incubator channel that you have a pretty solid character idea. Though if you still insist on further input, I'll just ask one question for now. What do you ultimately want from him as a character for yourself?

hm, i don't think i completely get this question, so i'll answer it twice;

1) i want a character with a simple design that features elements i'd have fun drawing repeatedly, and yet can be adapted, partially concealed or changed as a scene or even panel needs it, without the character losing their recognisability.

2) i want to use this character to test everything EV has to offer, from challenges to tournaments to special events. i'd actually like my first comic to be about oleander, but adapted to fit into the ... quite specific setting the boy up there is part of. i will a thousand percent toss him at scar matches, but not death matches.

I get the impression that you made up your mind on a lot of the stuff that makes him good so I asked the question because it would help you realise more of what you already know even better. It'd be cool to see your Oleander!

Also, also the mockup of his bio is fun, eager to see your intro comic.

It'll be nice to explore character dynamics with him.

Hello, I decided to stop procrastinating and make an art thread here. Also to share all the stupid crap I did for War For Roomba last year and I hate to use imgurs crappy mobile oriented interface so these early forum pages will act as like a pseudo-backup gallery/lazymans way of showing the drawings to people, anyways I flapped my gums for too long.

Spoilered because the images are HUGE but anyways. E n j o y

I'm not super good at backgrounds just yet so these pages were challenging to do. I tried to focus on what I could manage or liked to do.

Obviously people come into Void to improve and there is lots of room for improvement with these. But would these pages make the cut for my submission? If not I'd rather script and draw new ones instead of exhaust my time polishing these sloppy pages.

I remember being into maps as a kid when I was invested in Tolkiens work more, it was really fun trying to emulate his stuff. Oh and Redwall I guess, that had maps I was passionate about. Got any more snart, cooking up?

Glad you like him! Here is the preliminary form of the intro, I wanted to show as much as I could but I still feel like it's not enough (paradoxically it also feels lacking)

And while I'm here also get feedback on ideal image size. I made these too large, sorry!

Hello! This will be my incubator! I actually have a big enough roster of characters to submit so you and I will be pretty busy with helping me make each character fit the submission criteria.

A few things on this character:

0. Back in 2016 I was geared up to dive into Void and did a roster of preliminary characters I'd submit. Most of them were grotesque/cartoony in nature as I was not confident in my skill at drawing what I loved and wanted. But then my scanner died and I couldn't do much. Now 5 years later I'm making the characters I wanted to do the most

pretty boys it's pretty boys
. Basically I'm ready to tackle what I couldn't before :)

1. I made this fella, Quicksilver for that War For Rayuba tournament and this pic is actually an isolated portion of the original character sheet but obviously the ruleset that I made him under doesn't apply here.

2. Drawing things in digital is still a tad arduous for me but I would appreciate any insights from you all on how to make the proper formal sheet better. Should I provide a back reference for him?

3. I've actually pencilled out 4 pages for his intro comic but I didn't like the pacing and didn't like the backgrounds. So I hope to scan those pages in somewhere in the immediate future to get some feedback.

That's all for now, thank you!

Howdy, I'm Bobert. Been wanting to build up comic making muscle for years but life kept getting in the way. Now I'm free enough to do this thang.
