The dead have begun to rise out of their graves once more! Former champions, SDT combatants, throw away characters, and more have clawed their way from the ground to terrorize Void City until All Hallow's Eve! This year, the dead are enjoying an extended stay, and are available from September 24th to October 31st!
What does this all mean?! If you're new to Void, the Month of the Dead is a magical event that allows you to use your own dead characters in a match against another artist. So if you lost a character during a death match or a tournament, you will be permitted to use them during the entire run of this event!
How does this all work?!
All dead characters are resurrected and able to enter challenges, so you don't have to do anything special to set up a match other than challenge another artist with that character!
But Kent! I don't have a dead character? How do I participate in Month of the Dead?
You find a dead Void character and dig up their grave! (i.e., by finding an artist who does have a dead character and challenge them to a match with your living characters.)
Can I challenge a dead character to a Death Match or Scar Match?
Sorry, that's not allowed for this event--just regular matches! You're more than welcome to kill, maim or do whatever you like to your opponent's character in your comic, but any changes to the opponent's character design will not be officially recognized or enforced by the Council. Any scar or death matches arranged involving dead will be cancelled.
Does the match have to end in October?
Nope! We do expect people to be reasonable and keep match deadlines no later than November 15th. This is to keep people from trying to slide in with challenges on October 31st with 4 week deadlines. MOTD matches that do not begin between September 24th - October 31st and/or end after November 15th will be cancelled.
Do I need to sign up to participate?
Nope! Challenge whomever you like, and have fun!

oK, LAST YEAR me and Monday and Kent had a sexual threeway and I made like 30 pages in a week and I LOST BY ONE POINT so I gotta bring Moa back and give her a little 2014 re-design and get ferocious again.

After all of your talk of three-ways and 18+ content, I feel like a 1-weeker with you means more than just a comic match...
DAMN I want to fight everyone so bad! But I'm sticking to my rules--no comic matches until I get a real comic submitted as a BB. Which won't happen until I've made progress on VOID 6.0. Which will take a while. Bummer.

Adam, you don't need to have a dead character to challenge another artists dead character during MoTD.... you can challenge any artists dead character using your current 'active' character or take part in more 'normal' challenges during October
Month of the Dead is for the use of BOTH living and dead characters and is the only time(with one exception) when this is possible

Did a quick sketchy thing of Moa, I thought of going back to her original outfit and making her super insane and sad. Her face got blown off by Agent Black last year, so she wears a creepy "pretty girl" mask to hide the bare skull. So now she's more of a specter rather than a succubus. But she's in denial that she's double dead and she doesn't have a face anymore.
That's my idea, dunno if I'll do it or even fight anyone this year but yay!

Oooh last year William Duel and I had a Moa vs Red Rabbit match that we drew on the train and it was really stupid and had wobbly lines, but it was super fun. We should all train battle again >:D Somadis VS Angieness VS JPOP VS Red Rabbit vs Leviathorah vs Ethanol Jones LETS DO IT.
