I have been working on anatomy and figures, I just haven't scanned them. I'll do that soon.

Your people are looking better than ever (except that dog-head dude, who seems to have two left hands), but your background/landscape stuff could use the same level of practice that you've given the human(oid) form. Maybe try some more drawings with no people in them, just to practice the shapes of other things (cars, buildings, lamps, whatever).

You strike me as one of the most dedicated artists on this site. You're always receptive to crits, always eager to learn, and, most importantly, always drawing. Keep up the good work.

keep up with the high volume, you're improving loads!

Experiment with different facial and body types, it'll help broaden your repertoire of differentiable humans. draw old people, fat people, men, women, and everything in between. drawing from reference is always good.

keep it up!

Wow you're improving lots! I really like the two colored pieces, of the city and the snow. And those kitties are so cute!

Alright, I've been working on backgrounds and props too!

A lot of my backgrounds are too big to scan though, or I haven't scanned them yet.
Also been reworking Charlie.

There are too many view points. This is two-point perspective, so the objects should recede into TWO points. There's a thread on all of that here...

I hope that's not a true story! Unprofessional piercings are DANGEROUS, kids!!

Layout-wise, there's a bit much negative space above the first panel and under the safety pin.

Nope, total fiction. :p
I'll work on the spacing though, thank you.

The comic is great! I started giggling and got a weird look from my sister. XD
As pointed out by Pi, there is a lot of negative space. Maybe fill it with background or stretch the panels? Maybe something I'm not able to think of...?
Anyway, you're really good and all you can do is get better!

P.S. Anthro fish is the epitome of amazing.

I'm only a freshman, so I get out in 2011. I'm planning on checking out the Art Institute or Columbia, but I hear they're kind of pricy, so I'm still looking.

I decided that the most productive thing to do in detention/class is to doodle some koalas (my interpretation of them. Do koalas have paws? I don't know.)

why is this so tilted?

This is a terrible scan, please excuse

do you have photoshop? poor scannings can often be fixed up in photoshop if you play with the Levels or Curves (In the menu Image > Adjustments > Levels etc)

I just quickly did a Levels adjustment, see what it can do!:

I also suggest playing with lineweights in your art to give it more of a 3-dimensional feel, a thicker, heavier line suggest that part is closer to the viewer, while a thinner lineweight does the opposite and pushes it back. I think this may help pieces like your cute little cake slice, keep it up!! Its rad seeing continually practicing!
...beats me, man. Beats me why most dudes suck, sure as hell ain't my scene.

Beautiful, thanks! I do have Photoshop but it's horribly complicated, which is the main reason I don't do a lot of digital stuff, including coloring. And lineweight, okay, I'll remember that. Thank you!

I like the bird alot for some reason, but I think maybe less of the lines'd be better They're a bit too in your face and distracting. You should experiment with it. It's good.
