Groo the Wanderer, by Sergio Argones and Mark Evanier
I dimly recall an early issue of Groo being one of the first comics I ever owned, and it's stuck since then. Groo is about, well, Groo, a functionally retarded yet improbably indestructible swordsman who generally screws things up for everyone while being barely aware of it. Evanier and Aragones joken that they really only have one joke in 150+ (I think) issues, but that's okay, it ages well.
Part of the charm of the book, however, is not just the violence and silly shit that happens, but the gradual world building that comes with it. For the most part, each issue is one story, but as the series goes on, more and more characters return, often with signiture "call-back" lines (Drumm asking "What pirates?" never fails to kill me, but then, I'm not that bright).
My only complaints would be that the later Groos, mostly from their Dark Horse period, if memory serves, tend to get a little preachy.
Insert really edgy and unique title here
