Hello void people - found this place via the DA chatroom. I'm new here and new to comic art (and writing), but that's why I'm here. I recently started http://subplotcomics.com , and even though it's pretty noob, I like working on it.

The format is very gag-a-day newspaper strip (yeah I know it's played out). I'd definitely like to do more dynamic layouts, and develop more interesting characters.

If I can offer anything back to the community, I do motion graphics, ( http://www.alanhettinger.com/ is my work portfolio), so maybe I can help if you're interested in animation...

Hi! Haha, man I never thought I'd join. So hey, I'm Mai and I've actually been lurking around Void for goodness knows how long. I've been drawing a for a few years, and looking at this site, I see I've got a lot to learn. I'm hoping to submit a character after I get some sequential basics down.

UH HEY ALL. I've been a longtime fan of EnterVoid, but am somewhat new to the Original Character Battle scene, having only competed in a couple over at Deviantart (The Colosseum and Rogue Skies for anyone familiar with them). I'm still enlisted in one, but plan on checking out Enter Void whenever I'm out of the running in this one. ^_^ I've got an idea of who I want to use, (This Guy) he seems like he'd fit in well with the crowd, I'm excited to see how it'll go!

Getting to know you stuff:

I'm a gurl, 24, animation major looking to bulk up her sequential art skills and have a love of the strange!

Yeah I hope to keep the quality at that level (or better, that picture's now nearing a year old) - that's why I'm choosing Billy. He's clueless enough to not have to involve any sort of deep story at all so I can keep my matches short and hilarious XD His motivations will include:

1: Find Booze.
2: Find Fish.
3: Find Drugs.
4: Maybe somehow find his way home. Maybe. Probably not due to distractions. See above.

I've already got his intro in my head, but I'll have no time to draw it until after my move (in a month or two) but I'm all excited now regardless. XD

At present I'm chuckling at reading crits I don't find harsh at all being received as though it was a flame war. lawl aaaah, people. Certainly tons to see and read on this here sight! Can't wait until my first week is up and I can start critiquing and voting myself!

fffff I've already figured out exactly how I'd handle a fight between Billy and Nova. :| and I think it's only like four pages or so. I SUPPOSE I'LL HAVE TO GIVE YOU MY VOID CHERRY. (That is if you'll take me? ((bats eyes like a whore)) )

Won't be for a little while though, at least until my schedule lets up a bit. GRAR IT DOESN'T STOP MY IMAGINATION FROM RUNNING WILD! ALL THOSE TENTACLES OH GOD!

Hi! My name is Mike, and I'm suffering from an Early-Mid-Life-Crisis whereupon I ditch my longtime career to go to school for Comic Art. I will be attending the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in the Fall and am looking to get an early brush-up of my comicking skillz here.
