Here's some HR99 stuff I thought be worth showing.

The first few are the original art from the robots that came from adopts. Credit for them is on the HR99 Information sheet here https://entervoid.com/index.php/topic,13643.0.html

Worth mentioning the artist's deviantArt profile picture looks a lot like 64 and I can only say that's just an unfortunate coincidence it just happens sometimes I'm not trying to double dip ;u;

Number 16
Sometimes I let them keep their number

Number 17
Not always though :p

This next one is the characters that didn't make it to the final draft starting with the ones that didn't even make it to draft one

Alpha 37
Too hard to draw and I already had enough creepy cryptic robots

Alpha 48
I can't draw sexy and decided pretty early on I wanted a more Saturday morning cartoon vibe to the bots anyway

Alpha 54
Mainly just because it wasn't robotic enough. Probably could've revised it but just kinda forgot about them.

Alpha 19
The original crystal robot. Got replaced by 77 in the second draft I felt there was no need for two crystal themed robots.

Alpha 65
I really liked this one so I shelved it for a later concept as it wasn't that robotic to begin with.

Alpha 83
Cute concept but I had enough object heads at the time so some had to go.

Alpha 12
Another one of said object heads

Here's the Beta bots that didn't make it to draft 3

Beta 15
Had two other clowns.

Beta 18
There could only be one bovine themed robot and 2 won out.

Beta 28
The original giant robot. Didn't feel mecha enough for me.

Beta 41
A companion bot for 42 I guess I just didn't feel like drawing him so off he went

Beta 46
The concept remained the same I just moved from the bird look as there already was a few birdies.

Beta 76
I had one other winged robot to draw and honestly that was enough.

Beta 88
Felt too much like 97 so I made it a tiny hermit crab

Beta 90
I could not for the life of me decide on the colors for this one so it frustrated me off this roster.

Finally some of the glow ups

Imagine if this was the intro comic.

38
Maybe I should've kept the piercings.

57
That's...better?

59
Fusion Hah!!!

65
Fun fact narwhals don't have dorsal fins. I mean they also aren't robots either so

87
There! Now nobody will draw them!

95
My favorite redesign

97
Jesus...

So the key to having so much diversity of character designs were adoptables? You're actually practicing using the system as it's intended to be used in theory. I seldom see anyone who buys up adoptable characters to actually harness all that premade potential into something and that legitimately makes you an outlier, wowie.
