Creator’s note: This is from a discarded page from my Election comic I am working on now. I was going at the speed of lightning in the beginning, but then 1 and half drawn pages later I decided to redo it already.
You know, everything has to be just right.

I made my own awesome brush in Procreate for inking stuff. I call it the
‘me art brush’.

I set out to digital paint and uttered this beauty into the world.
I used many layers, smudge tool thingy and adjusted some layer opacities and altered layer modes.

My latest best painting so far ever!

I started it last night and finished it today.
I used Procreate to make it.
For the finest of lines I had learned one must take care and heed exactly how much pressure one exacts on the drawing surface, with this in mind I was able to achieve a line, beyond any line I had crafted before, it was, in essence a good line.
Then I colored my lines super easy by clipping a layer to my lineart layer and coloring.
I had multiple additional layers for the shadings and the highlights, with each added hue and shade and tint  my internal calculations regarding lightsource became ever more complex. But, it was a good complex, a complex that really gets you thinking.
I like to think of art as more than an exercise in aesthetics, it is, for me a means of capturing the endless subrealities beneath the waking surface through the creative instance of imaginative cognition.
For the bg, I didn’t know what I wanted from the outset, I just stroked in some textures and adjusted some layer modes.
