NYCC 2013

NYCC 2013

It's a long ways off, but passes went on sale for NYCC today! They don't go as fast as SDCC, but they still do sell out at a decent rate, so grab them while you can! I'll be there with Red again. Who else plans to go this year? We actually had a pretty massive Void gathering last year, so NYCC has pretty much replaced Wizard World in terms of Voider numbers.

The first day of the con lands on my birthday this year, so we will go get cake and icecream.

Pi & Willy D, you're welcomed to stay with me again if you wanna go. I vote that we skip going to the con on Saturday and go do other stuff instead... because damn, Saturday was dumb last year.

Please bring several muffins to offer to Boxer as sacrifice.

That's awesome! We will be reunited once again. I also agree with skipping the con Saturday, it was pointless to go that day.

I'm going, as well as another fabulous artist I am planning to sweet talk into joining VOID.

Right now, on the fence like I was last year. Also probably moving closer towards Philly between now & then. Not that it would stop me from being there but itd be a little longer trip for me than in the past

I am most likely going. Waiting for those three-day tickets to go up for sale.
Hopefully I will be a non-sick Runic this time.

4 day tickets are already sold out, and 3 day tickets are currently on sale.

If anyone is thinking of going, NOW is the time to plan your stuff out.

Angie and I have 4 day passes and we plan on going on Thursday as long as we can because that's the least crowded day. We are continuing on planning to completely avoid Saturday.

If you're planning on doing a 1 day pass for Saturday only, then .... good luck!

I just got approved for my 4 day pro pass so provided NYCC doesn't mail my pass to the wrong address (they keep saying my address is IDW's business address but said they updated it to my actual address so it should be fixed), I will hopefully have an extra 4 day pass on me. I obviously won't be giving it to just anyone.

I am certainly going. I am buying my tickets next week. Hopefully I'll be living in Brooklyn by then, but if not I can still drive up and crash with someone. The year before last I went and I totally missed out on meeting anyone who was around.

Hahaha you totally read my mind... I was just thinking "I hope everyone has their crap together..... they probably don't"

I will bug the "maybe" people that were going to stay with me and see what their status is. If people drop out then I might have more room in my house for people to stay with me....

Also, start thinking about what you guys want to do on Saturday. Because going to the con on Saturday last year was foolish lol.

Definitely need to go to the Museum of Modern art, because I think everyone needs to see Van gogh's Starry Night (ITS SO SMALL) and the splatter paintings by Jackson Pollock (THEY ARE HUGE). And right now they have an exhibit on video games hahaha. So, we definitely need to go there.

I'm not sure if you guys have any interest in other museums and stuff, but there is the museum of Natural History and The Guggenheim and stuff. Also we gotta go to kinokuniya, the Japanese book store, for sure. But, you guys should totally google up some stuff you wanna go do/see/shop at.

Yeah the museum and Kinokuniya are musts! (especially the food at the latter omg) We could hit the Rockafeller center again too, since while we're in NY the new Pokemon comes out so they might have more adorable Pokemon stuff. Other than that I don't know anything offhand. I think there's also things in Time Square we didn't check out last time.

I'm totally down for taking a break from the con and roaming around with everyone. I agree, the art museums art a must.

I'm not sure if this is something anyone would want to check out on Saturday and I have not actually been to this place before, but a couple of my Lolita friends mentioned it to me and I want to eventually check it out. (:

NYC's Maid Cafe? They have bubble tea and sweets and stuff.
Their FB page is here.

Angie, we must make a stop at the Nintendo Store, it'll be awesome! <3
