#39 and up are from the other site that uses photos of people. I found those a lot more fun to draw - my favorites were the ballerina poses. All 30 seconds.

Here's a couple other links I found for gesture drawing, in case anyone wants to check them out-

Has quite a few customizable options.

Some of the challenges are pretty helpful.

So, today is the deadline but don't feel like you can't keep posting "late". The deadline was just a target, so keep posting until you're done (if you want) or you can move to the next challenge (coming soon!)

Past the deadline, but practice is practice right?

Posemaniac is ridiculous by the way.

Awesome Slagglle!!

Yeah, don't worry about deadlines, it's just a thing to aim for... and to motivate people to actually get things done lol. If anyone wants to do this, even after the deadline, please do!

Gesture drawings are pretty important, enough so we probably shouldn't be only doing them once. Or at least I shouldn't because mine are terrible. But that's why I decided to do more! A lot more in fact...

100 gesture drawings in a week? Pfffft, Try 100 in a day, for 5 days straight.
My first batch is done today and for the next 4 days i'll be doing 100 a day as well up to a total of 500.

Set up to do them in sets of 20; First 20 30-second gestures, then 20 60-second gestures, a break, Another set of 30s, and another set of 60s, break again, then finish it up with 20 gestures from a single movie scene.

Check out the movie scene here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79ditPebZ8g  It's freaking EPIC.

Please do let me know if you have ANY insight, wisdom, advice, critique, comments, or general things to say about these. Just doodling them might be useful, but pointing out what might help me see it in another light goes a loooong way. Especially when i'm in the middle of drawing them, as opposed to after I finish them all.

hit those S-curves more! even when standing straight up, it helps to visualize the S in the spine to get a more fluid and lifelike pose.

round 2, aiming for S curves, though I don't think they're too visible.

Most of these gestures so far seem to just use whatever style they want, but about 3/4 way through todays I ended up with this 3 line blocky shape that I know I've seen in some tutorial book at some point. Seems to be working decently enough.

Yet more gestures, trying to nail S curves as well as capturing concave vs convex and still using those block lines for shape if I have time.

Oh, and I was watching a new movie I couldn't pause while drawing the last set, so some of you might find familiar faces (or at least gestures) instead. ^_^
