Inspired by our dear KichiKat, I've decided to try and run a weekly live art jam. Every week will be a new theme and reference material for everyone to draw, and we can post our work in this thread!

That live video you linked us, I'm guessing the poses change, do you know how frequently, or is it just random?

we started with 30 second poses, had a bunch of 2 minute and 5 minute sets in the middle, then ended with 90 second poses.

here's my set: http://imgur.com/a/xcKAO#0

energy, your constructions are looking pretty solid, try utilizing an S-curve more, especially for the back. the line of action is good to keep in mind, but in reality people's spines are a bit more dynamic, and this will become apparent as you practice.

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves for this first run! any suggestions on a theme for next week?

Oh right, so you have to be available at that exact time to be able to do it?

It's a livestream - if you want to jam with people in real time, you have to be available when the stream is online (Pi's got a status in that first post to show you that it's offline right now).

Otherwise the video is still there for you to look at, so I'd imagine it would be OK for those of us who can't be there to do the work in our own time ;)

i've been trying to figure out a theme for tomorrow since it's halloween, and these are your options:

we can either draw SCARY MONSTER ANIMALS (deep sea creatures, bugs, microbes, etc.)

or

WOUNDS (like, actual people who have been cut up and such, definitely not for the faint of heart and NSFW).

which would you folks like to draw?

I'd love to try this out but I was wondering what timezone you in and what time do you reckon you'll run the stream tomorrow?

As for themes, I'm not very squeamish so I'm happy to do either although scary monster animals sounds like it might have more variation in it!

by request, the theme for this week will be

THE THEORY OF RELATIVE PERSPECTIVE
(aka, Perspective Made Easy)

it's going to be a bit different from the previous weeks. i've been in the process of doing a tutorial for perspective made easy, so i figure this will be a good chance to try doing a mini-lecture on the material and troubleshoot problems. and it will be saved by twitch, so hopefully it's good enough to use as reference later on!

hope to see you all there, especially you, jetster!

HOORAY!

That will be great, gonna take advantage of my school holidays to learn something hahaha.

Do you know roughly what time you'll be starting? Trying to work out conversions from PST to AEDT so I can schedule myself.
