50s jam

50s jam
« on: Jul 02, 2012, 09:38 AM »
IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME TILL I CREATED THIS JAM, more beautiful time-travelling continues

Same as the 20s and 70s, bros! Draw up your characters in 50s get ups and situs, more importantly have fun!

My knowledge of 50s fashion doesn't branch very far from Grease, but I thought Wizzie looked a lot like Frenchy with her pink hair anyway, the outfit is based on one of Rizzo's though, because I couldn't picture Wizzie in poodle skirts often. Also 50s Wizzie smokes.

He's missing his magical beard and sideburns that turn him into a man. Also, Hats, you know I'm gonna continue that comic right? ;D You've been warned

FOR SOME REASON I READ THAT AS "HE'S MISSING AN ARM"

Time travel is obvious dangerous business.

Also bring it, but expect Grease from me co that's as far as my 50s knowledge goes.

If anyone is uneducated on Grease, she's singing "Sandradee"... Coz Wizzie is certainly not a virgin.

Also Beo wasn't in such a great mood in the hook up jam so I decided to carry it on. Poor Beo.

Um, yeah.
A comedian (I don’t remember who) said that, when it comes to time-travel, black people can’t go past the 70s. So here’s my interpretation of Andy in the 1950s, a huge follower of the civil rights movement. Based on my granny from back then.

Oh man Fish, I love you for this. I feel like that all the time when I think about  where I would go if I had a time machine :( I'd be too skerd to go anywhere past the 70's in America. It's nice and sad to see this from another angle, as your character is not white.
Good thing this is Void, though and everyone is equal even during the 1950's! =D

Because theyre so

Responsible.

Aw thanks, Bl00, being black myself, I wonder the same thing. Ha, I didn't even think of people in void being the same in the 50s. They probably had different types of discrimination, like cyborg and furry hate-crimes.

And Hats, yeah they're sooo responsible...or Andy would end up making sure they didn't drown in their own vomit (Hendrix style).

MEANWHILE ON THE BEACH

Surfing took off at this time in Hawaii--longboards were in and so was criminally small surf shorts for everyone.

The M-Zero-Oh armor here would be a Mo'o (supernatural lizard) spirit.

Also 50s Wizzie smokes.
Everyone's 50s smoke. It's like, a rule to be allowed to live back there, dont get in 'less you smoke!

At first, I wanted to put Lucy in a nice dress but like, I thought striped bathing suits are basically awesome.
I should have gone for the dress.
Whatever. Comics to do!
