Haven's Bodega

Haven's Bodega

Using photoshop CS5 in Digital Image Manipulation saved me enough time to just fuck around and make this for fun. mostly mouse clicks. digital stipple i suppose. and no slave, 1:1.

A Mock page. Sort of what Portobello came from. it was an idea for this epic adventure but i didnt really feel like i could handle it, so i changed it up, and came to void to get better until i can do something like it

FUCKKKKINGGGGG INKKKKSSS

I really like the comic page, but I don't understand why you have the smokey word bubbles in the middle but not further on. It feels a little like it was just added arbitrarily for "looks cool" factor (which it does) but it pulls me out of the comic while I wonder why it is there. Otherwise I like the flow of the page and the pacing is good :)

Are those photo paint overs?  Still impressive if they are.  Your shit just keeps getting better and better.

To some degree, yes. i had the photo reference on top for the blocking stages, but then once i had everything where it needed to be i used it separately. but still more of a toggle job than a trace, i tried not to be too cheap, haha

but theres this, my Digital Image Manipulation II final! Photorecreation. this IS a work on top job, but with good reason

Thanks Johnny, i always want to improve!
