Just a rough warm up drawing. I'm still messing about with a more painterly style of coloring.

Venturing into the NSFW realm of art.

I'll post the uncensored version here once I get it done.

I should also note that this was done without reference. Let me know if the anatomy is off or anything.

Your black & white stuff is really really good. I envy your ability to draw such awesome looking structures and I love that one that's like an old god statue  *_*

Thanks, dude!

I'm really trying to transition over into digital, and the learning curve is pretty steep for emulating my traditional style of penciling and inking.

What program do you use? Because Corel Painter does a pretty good job at imitating real life mediums.

I use Photoshop CS5, and I also have Painter. However, I still haven't really tried out painter, and I have a brush for PS that looks and acts 99% like real pencil and pen, so I'm using that for now.

I will, as a Painter user, say that if you use actively wide range of external (community-made) brushes for PS, are used to it's workflow and don't want to use other editor for text - PS is better solution.

If you, however, are looking for a natural-ish feel from brushes, widest range of premade brushes, chalks and epic blenders that imitate real life ones, would like a color mixer that works amazingly, I'd say choose Painter.

EDIT: Don't look at my art if you want to see what it's capable of - I have my own set of brushes I use and I suck at art.

I also like photoshop since I can create vector panel layouts in Illustrator and place them in PS as Smart Objects. That way, if the panels need to be adjusted on the fly, I can easily readjust them.

Painter also has very easy-to-use point-to-point mode (just press V for 'vector' and B for 'brush') for any and all brushes and erasers :>

I have begun work on revamping Zedan. Not changing him too much from my original vision, but enough so it feels fresh and I like working on the character again.

The first step: He needs a proper comic title.

I'm also playing around with a VOID comic cover "title box", just for personal use on covers for his battles and BBs.

Thoughts? Opinions? Critiques?

Also see: Bent learns how to draw faces again.

It's been a fuck of a long time since I've drawn human characters. I almost forgot how.

But it's like riding a bike. You never forget. You just fall off a few times and shred your skin off on the pavement.

I will work on the body shots and expressions as soon as I get some time to myself.

Yes, the chest tattoos are a direct reference / nod to Spider Jerusalem from the infamous TRANSMETROPOLITAN.
Go read it if you haven't. It's everything you never knew you wanted.

Bigger version of my new signature.

I think I might look into selling this as a bumper sticker.

I like it! The red eyes look like little tinier mouths, it might look kind of cool to have some red on the 'base' of the teeth?

I've been away for here for quite a while, but I'm starting to get the comic-itch again.

I've been keeping a sketchbook for the past few months. I'm trying to go with a stream-of-consciousness approach and only draw in pen (to strengthen my penciling skills).

The fact you have a Lovecraft signature is what drew me to your art. That being said, I am wholly pleased in having hunted down your stuff, because it's awesome! Your monster designs are to be expected of a Lovecraft fan, beyond creative. I'm a big fan of the sketched ink style, so I love seeing your drawings. Great stuff!
