Thank you very much, Ponbiki! Sorry I've been away so long, school's been kinda crazy. But that means I have lots more art to dump. :D

Here are a bunch of short comics I've been drawing for my senior capstone, a mini-anthology of original stories drawn and (for the most part) written by myself.

The two comics here were written by two friends of mine. I have a third that I'll be redrawing shortly, and I plan on doing a second set next spring.

Here's an in-progress comic for my senior capstone. After this, I'll have roughly 20 pages. I hope to have 30 by the end of the semester and another 30 by the end of next spring.

I've also been busy with a special project my animation professor is leading. He's developing a mobile game about fish hunting each other, and asked me to design the character models. Over the last couple months, as a special Senior Practicum course, I've been working with him to design three species with four stages of growth. Here are the character sheets with each of the species and growth stages:

And the three adult forms with a test color palette:

The professor is currently modeling the adult Barracuda, and will have animation students model, texture and rig the others for his game.

I also did some professional coloring work earlier this fall. A local company called Eureka Comic Labs approached me to color a cover for two of their series. The first was a superhero action series called Ugly Mofo:

The second, a horror series called Gamers Vs. Zombies:

I've still got more work in the pipeline (including my intro comic for Chimp Change), so there'll be plenty more where all that came from. I hope you guys enjoy reading my work as much as I enjoy drawing it!

Sloooooowly working on finishing the Chimp Change intro comic. I was hoping to do a toned or even colored entry, but I might just do pure black and white depending on how soon my patience runs out. I really wanna get back to battling.

Thank you! I can't wait to finish the comic. c:

I'm also trying to do more warmups and practice pieces in between big projects. I was hoping to do a quick ink piece to warmup in the morning and color it in the evening to cooldown, but we'll see if I can stick to it. Here are the ones I've done so far:

That last one is today's warmup, so time willing I'll get it colored tonight~

Dayum, over 120 days without posting? Man I am behind. Let's fix that.

Cover for a short 10-page comic I'm doing for a Kickstarter. I'm basically doing it for practice and portfolio, but the writer/project manager says if it breaks $800 then I'll actually get some money for it. So if you feel like it, you can chip a couple bucks in and get a digital copy of the story and another one two more artists are doing.

This, on the other hand, is my current pet project. A fairytale horror story called Cradlepit Cave, which will be debuting on CupofComics.Com. Just for you folks, I'm posting the first three pages:

It's gonna be a long story, but I aim to have it completed by the end of next year... money, time, and health willing. *gulp*

In other things I'm making for other people, a friend of mine is presenting a Japanese ghost story she translated into English. She asked me to provide some illustrations to go with it, and I happily obliged:

The story is about an inn that discovers it has a haunted futon in one of its rooms. A little bit of investigation reveals that the futon originally belonged to a poor family with two kids. The parents died from starvation, and the kids were sent out onto the street. When even their futon was stolen from them, the two huddled together in a snowstorm and quietly froze to death. Not the cheeriest of endings, but hey.

Good to see you all again :'D

Working on a ten-page comic for a writer. Putting my all into this, and liking how it's turning out so far.

Thanks! Geez I need to be more frequent about these updates. Let's start with a quick dump of one of my comics from earlier this year, a supernatural horror/mystery story called Eras: Fung. It's written by a guy named Luke Herr, who's doing a series of short stories with public domain superheroes. It was a bit of a pain, but good experience. Damn shame the guy still hasn't shipped out the books for Kickstarter backers, though.

Jeezy pete I am bad at updating this. Let's roll.

This is one of the first things I made during my internship at Periscope Studio. A short four-page story that was later published on Study Group.

I also did another round of user-driven comics. This time I did a few strips based on one-word prompts.

A page from Cradlepit Cave that I particularly liked. The project has had its ups and downs, but it definitely has shown my improvement.

This was my four-page story for PowFlip's Junji Ito-inspired anthology Uzumaximum. Based on a true story, the Kentucky Meat Shower.

This was a story for a Louisville-themed comics anthology. The central character is Freddy Farm Bureau, a staple of the local state fair. Ever fall kids can come see this gigantic statue to ask him questions about farming and Mrs. Farm Bureau. This story was mainly an excuse for me to play with color, since I hadn't used any in so long.

Thanks!

I've been developing a new comic about roller derby magical girls. This was one of the earliest test images:

Then started developing a core cast:

And then a short comic with a transformation sequence:

(I found out Star Slammers is a recently-rebooted sci-fi action comic, so I had to change the name a bit.)

Now I'm making scripts for the first chapter and brewing some other story ideas. Not sure what my timeline on this is, I'm just having fun with this.
