When I saw this thread I was like...I have to do Nova!  Just because I already had a realistic image of Nova in my mind and I think he's awesome.  It's pencil and while I'm not proud of the hair... Here you go!

I started this around 11 and I've been tinkering and playing with it obessively ever since. Dear God, someone stop me.  I took a screenie and thought I'd share before I hop into bed- The photographs/drawings on the left are kind of my 'reference' pics (since I read somewhere that good realism is usually based off an actual face.

/shrug

I'm about done- I just need to add flashiness and finish that left eye, but Goddamn I'm tired. Spoon OUT

Wait, you're still not done with it? It's good, leave it alone! *Shakes you around*

Seriously though, it looks great so far, I really don't see why you need to do anything else. Oh, and thanks for the Pic Kitetsu.

Looks great thus far Kozi. Yeah reference never hurts, I had like 5 reference pics open when I was doing Angie. 1 of the actual hairstyle she has, 2 of people who have a similar face structure, and 2 tiger pictures to get the fur and nose down.

LOL whoa the resemble is uncanny.  That guy would make a good Nova in the live action Void movie.  But who is he?

Harvey Milk

I didn't know Agent Black's real name was Harvey Milk.

I really like this, but something feels off about it. I think it's the ear and the broad forehead, but we're probably losing out on something that disappeared on the transition from source to black and white.

Great, now I can never watch The Warriors again.

but... but what about lynne thigpen? and all that amazing dialogue? 'alive if possible... if not... WASTED!'...? heh? heh?
i'm sorry. it was just that picture. it made me do it! i swear!

and thanks, wei! but don't think i won't spend the extra time preparing.

... by preparing, i mean like traps & shit. not for death. that'd be silly.

i owe art to this thread for going off topic all the time. i'll be back with something. at some point.

Not my character, but I've wanted to try realism for so long, and since today I finally had time to do something that wasn't school-related... I'm still trying to get used to doing digital paintings.
