One thing Staff considered doing was making a Villain character for the Heart of Heroes tournament to face off against. We ultimately decided against that, but thought it might be fun to have a thread with some peoples' (super)villain OCs for the tournament entrants to use if they so choose! I put "NPCs in the title but tbh if you have a supervillain character on the site you're free to link them here too.
For characters that haven't been put on the site, upload a picture of them along with a brief blurb about their powers and motivations!
(Art by CorruptedMooch on deviantart, who I adopted him from hehe)
Name: Carix
Powers: Devil. Can control fire, is immune to fire damage, Extremely Hard To Kill. Contract Magic: Can bestow others with his powers if they make a contract with him. Honestly probably has some other vaguely devilish powers too. Can possibly possess people whose souls he owns?
Weaknesses: Anything Holy (doesn't have to be strictly Christian-based; can also be damaged by other religions' holy symbols). Also, is honestly kind of a low-ranking devil so he doesn't have a ton of power yet. The more souls he owns, the more powerful he will get though. The souls he owns are stored in the red gem on his throat, so breaking that will release them and further weaken him.
Motivation: Corruption. Wants to encourage people to do Evil acts to steal souls. Will offer to make people powerful in return for their souls.
Personality: very flippant and carefree. He never takes anything seriously. Constantly eggs people on; very much in the vein of "don't you wanna go apeshit?"
For a Void character, I've got Serath. Yes she saved everyone in Arma 2025. No that does not mean she's a good guy now lol. She'd mostly be doing Piracy and general Chaos-related stuff
I made this guy as an embodiment but primarily an allegory for Void battles involving good or outright heroic characters fighting each other because it's personally not one of my fav things in a narrative. There's only so many fights resulting from misunderstandings that kind of peeve me.
So a weird puppet creature man who treats other people like toys is a good way to articulate my thoughts. BUT a weirdo control freak guy is also just good on its own as a more standard villain who can literally manipulate and take forceful control of others.
Not sure if my characters fully fit the supervillain theme, but I love any chance to share my blorbos so I'll just drop a couple in case they spark some inspiration! First up:
JACKDAW!
JACKDAW is a dead man. He does not have a beating heart; he has no need to breathe, eat, sleep, rest. He cannot be killed in a way that matters; bullets, knives, normal weapons can damage his body but cannot stop him. He can shapeshift into a griffin form at will. This form is stronger, faster, and more agile than his human form. Jackdaw drinks human blood to sustain himself and close wounds.
Motivation: Jackdaw is driven by revenge and violence. After being killed in a violent manner, he wants to drag people down to his level. He will target institutions, governments, police, lawmakers, and authority, killing people and turning them into undead monstrosities like him, and laughing about it all the way. He wants to destroy these institutions. He will not target common folk and average joes trying to go about their lives, unless they are authority figures.
Personality: Loud, aggressive, ready for violence and having a great time. Thinks he's better than you and will mock you for it. If you try to stop him, he will taunt you and will laugh at you if you give up. He is a sore loser who may or may not have a meltdown if things don't go his way. In life, he was a guitarist in a punk band; he still plays guitar.
Jackdaw functions best as a street-level villain. He typically works on his own and is hard to stop due to his fortitude, but he is only one man and can only do so much damage on his own.
DUSKARIOS, or Dusk for short, is a minotaur blood mage. He is an extremely experienced high-level mage who can cast a wide variety of spells, often centering around blood. (You can get creative with his powers. anything vaguely blood-themed will work for him!) Dusk is a glass cannon, having immense magical power but little protection of his body and soul. Not like death matters to him anyway.
Motivation: Duskarios is the leader of a cult that worships a Blood God. He is interested in sacrificing large quantities of people in the name of his God. It does not matter who he sacrifices; only that their blood is spilled on his altar in the unholy name.
Personality: Duskarios is a megalomaniac. He is confident and direct. There is no need to lie, bluff, or mislead; he will speak his mind with no hesitation. Consequences do not matter. Even if you kill him, this is only a blessing; his god will appreciate the blood that is spilled. So come, try your best. It does not matter if you win or lose this fight... regardless of the outcome, the blood god will feast on our sacrifice tonight.
Duskarios can function as a high-level enemy. He has a wide powerset and a cult of followers to aid him in his endeavors; thus, not only do you have him to contend with, but his cult as well.
these are all so fun omg. Love the idea of a puppet master being behind some Contrived Misunderstandings. and I love Jackdaw, he's such a lil punk. kinda want him to meet Tix ngl. and of course Dusk my beloved <3
We’re not using this for the tourney I was just looking through files to see if I had a villain I was comfortable with donating as an NPC and I found one from a cancelled comic
Meet Cupid
Personality: Cold, Cruel, Chaotic
Powers: Her red eyes can see the weaknesses of others whether its physical or emotional - she’ll try to use it to her advantage
Motivation: The love of the game and she needs rent money to cover for her roommates
had to somewhat update her clothing to make it more supervillain-y, but! here's another gal I have
Name: Briar Coldfang (Often just goes by Coldfang)
Abilities: Ice control powers and all that entails. Feel free to get creative with it! She can breathe ice, create ice and shape it into whatever, etc.
Weaknesses: Fire. Also, has a bit of a gambler's streak.
Motivation: Hates humans, and kinda wants to just kill all of them. Is angry that humans have been so anti-monster for so long and wants to repay the favor. May or may not also eat humans.
Personality: Fairly stoic and low-key. "Frigid" is a good way to describe her, pun intended. Doesn't talk much; is a woman of action, not words. Smart/clever/calculating. Loves puzzles, and loves to be challenged both mentally and physically.
I have the archangel foundation, which operates under the guose of humanitarianism and research for the betterment of the city, as well as being a paramilitary organization contracted by the city to step in to assist with large scale threats and Incidents, like the recent kaiju crisis. In reality they are something of a culture of mad scientists and brainwashed militia serving their own less than altruistic ends and using the city and its people as a testbed for their experiments, like causing the kaiju crisis, and then step in afterwards to clean uo their mess, both ingratiating themselves with the city and its people and also making sure their the first on the scene to dispose of any evidence of their involvement.
The main characters involved are the commander, Vash Tethys, who runs the whole operation. Icy and no-nonsense, he runs a tight operation amd isn't afraid to get personally involved in am operation, especially if it's not proceeding as intended. He just a short temper but also strong better judgement. Punishments for failure or insubordination will be harsh, but he knows better than to damage useful assets. He can put on a charismatic facade for the public, and really sell his organization as the altruistic humanitarians they want everyone to think they are.
The human Scientist is Dr. Nero Maximilian, and he's the head of robotics and technological research. He's not actually as powerful in the organization as he would like to be, and as he would like others to belive he is. He has a high opinion of himself and of his work, which tends to get very annoying very fast, especially when his projects tend to go wrong in some way, shape, or form. Vash puts up with it because his research still provides enough useful information and usable products to make the blunders worthwhile.
The skunk scientist is Dr. Sera Lena, and she's the head of the biological research division as Lieutenant Commander of the foundation, making her Vash's second in command. In reality she cares little for the foundations actual goals and primarily concerns herself with her research. Her understanding of and ability to manipulate and rewrite DNA and gene sequences is second to none and is one of the foundations most prized assets. She doesn't have as large an ego as Nero, but she takes massive pride in her work, which is not undeserved, in all honesty. She knows what she's worth and what she brings to the table, and it'd hard for the foundation to argue the validity of her claims, even when she messes up. They need her and she knows it. Many of the people that work under her are clones and/or tank grown organisms, rather than actual employees, and they're surprisingly loyal to her. She and Nero do NOT get along, with each finding the other to be incompetent and vain, though one has a more valid claim than the other.
The above pictures also have some examples of the foundations uniforms, mostly for the military personnel. That's really up to interpretation, though.
want a giant Mecha with a disdain for organic beings? Here’s Oxymandius.
treating everything like a game or a reality tv show it loves destruction and stealing oxygen so that organic beings can’t survive. Once they clear an area of all organic life they rebuild it into a pretty map.
motivation; after a journey through a black hole into this dimension, they want everything smaller than them to experience that nothingness. They only respect creatures of their own size. In fights they will intentionally cause lots of collateral damage.
personality; they think life is a joke so they have fun with it, never worried about consequences or the harm they cause others. They aren’t mad when plans go wrong and will gladly use dirty tricks.
another void character that can be a villain is B Thee. A creature of the night that corrupts as much as she can. She enjoys the taste of a hero giving their all to fight indulging them in their desires of justice, wrath, pride, or whatever they fight for.
powers; all her powers come from her shapeshifting abilities and acquisition of titles. She prefers being a vampire which gives her blood powers and sharp claws, as well as legendary vampire speed and strength. A legendary version essentially being like a higher vampire lord. She also has thousands of years of hand to hand combat experience.
she has many forms she can change into and when she changes into a monster she is a Legendary version of that monster, so you cam have fun with giving her different form.
one thing she won’t do with her shapeshifting is impersonate another person.
the toughest thing about her is her durability; she can only take damage from attacks that come from a place of survival rather than an ulterior motive.
motivation: she wants to indulge in a good fight from strong willed people. She also recently got a pet succubus who she wants to show off for and show off all the things you can do with shapeshifting. If someone interests her enough she may even offer them a place as one of her pets.
personality: she is that bitch and will let you know it. She enjoys seducing others to indulge in their crudest desires. The only desire she hates is greed, if someone is full of greed she will either kill them or avoid them. Weak people she gets to indulge may not survive but if entertained enough she won’t kill them but instead encourage them to thrive so she can indulge again. If someone isn’t interested in indulging with her she won’t bother and will quickly move on.
Motivations: Loyalty to his creators at the monster making healthcare company Moreau Biomedical. Making sure deals go through, and dealing with threats to the company.
Personality: Eminently reasonable, charismatic and strategic. Will always seek to end things in negotiation if he can get the best outcome that way. Implacable and ruthless once it becomes clear violence is the best option.

VOID MASTER may be here to conquer the world. He may be here for a good fight. He may be here just to show off.
Edward Mordrake
my evil circus ringleader that eats dead people, you can read about him in previous comics (examples --> https://entervoid.com/comics/12682 , https://entervoid.com/comics/12037, https://entervoid.com/comics/11680 )
I've got a couple of more humorous villains I wanted to share here for liberal use by whomever might want them haha.
