I will admit that I had little idea what was going on. Sure, we know Ma is trying to strike a deal with some massive pulsating(?) entity and that he's willing to provide a harder to detect location or something like that, and that said entity is considering it, but it seems to end without giving us much to go by. That aside, everything looks good to me.
I understand it was a 2 page challenge but i still feel like it ends kinda suddenly and without much resolution, but it DOES set up an interesting alliance thats sure to be a problem later for Shizana. i see a lot of Ma setting things up. whats it for? whys he need all these alliances? whats his goal? that is that soup about. As for the art, i love the colours and the backgrounds look amazing, but in my personal opinion, everything having really thin, coloured lines and then the characters outlines being so thick and dark, it kinda feels to me like it flattens them, they look cardboard =\ i would keep working on that style to make it so your characters look like they werent pasted onto the background.
Ahhhhh I love your backgrounds dude! Its really interesting to see the contrast of the pages next to each other in the thumbnails too.
You've got a good handle on textures in this one, I feel. The flesh... portal... is sticky? And the enclosure that Mr. Superior is in clearly has some treatment on the glass. I love these small details.
It does feel a bit rushed text-wise, but I understand the two pages was a challenge.
Did Ma and the General... guy fall in step? On the stairs it seems that happened. I wonder who did that. I find that interesting cause of knowing military people, but its still a nice detail.
I feel like the border around some of Ma's speech bubbles should have been thicker on the warm colored page. It doesn't quite stand out enough, imho.
I want to thank Rhim for writing out the dialogue and letting me use her characters I had a ton of fun designing their technology and drawing the goopy bits. I did this comic as an exercise in trying to get two pages done in this style in a week and I feel I accomplished my goals I hope you all enjoy the comic! :D
