Thanks for the friendly welcome GOD DAMN IT ROFLQU, Thanks for the great compliments and the positive critiques! I will definitely stay conscious of them. I'll be ready for a battle around February first. come one come all!
Nana-Banana:
I'm getting a awesome Moth Man vibe and I dig it a lot! I'm excited to have more comical super heroes to join Void since we can never have too much. Looking forward to how his story unravels as I really love the detail in your style!
Thanks Nana-Banana, yeah I'm curios on how Cuca's story turns out too! lol
I love this character already! He's gonna be hilarious in battles XD
Your backgrounds are beautiful. I love all the gritty textures you're using. I think it would be good to try to increase line-weight on the characters in panels like that first street-scene so that the characters really pop out from all that background detail. Oh! also just want to say that all the lettering and speech balloons and those nice effect lines and speed lines are really nicely done. This comic is really nice to look at, and it was really fun to read :D
eyyy, welcome back, glad to see you recovered! This is totally awesome, i mean the pages are kinda small lol but great detail, nice action, amazing character! cant wait to see him battle!
I'm so glad to see you back again after having left us early 2016. I'm glad you're recovered now and back to the action.
This guy is great. He strikes me as being right out of The Tick and to that end, I imagine him never leaving his costume. Just going around in his day to day life, taking the kids to school, shopping at the supermarket, and going around ready for when there's no crime at all. Definitely a favorite of mine and I really want to see you battling with him as soon as possible. He's got a completely different flavor of character compared to your other previous ones, probably because he's got a lot more goofiness to him. He is really amusing to me.
The bare ass legs on his outfit are the absolute best part by far.
I kind of wish the hit we get on page 2 was drawn out a little more. It's a terrific wind-up when you have him ricocheting behind the panel, but the impact is a bit weak to me. It feels like the panel needs to be larger or at least have more splash to the action. I also really enjoy the angle on the last panel, but I could do with it being a little more subdued. It might be a little too extreme to end on, but everything else looks great about him.
Also, as nice as your ink work is (and it is nice), I think you need some greys to help differentiate a bit of what I'm looking at, because you do a lot of juicy detail work, but maybe not enough line width. Some details become lost and it may cause the comic to suffer a bit. At the same time, this might be an issue due to how small the comic is. Maybe if it was bumped up in size it'd be plainly obvious.
I very much hope we get a Rebel Roach & La Cucaracha team-up in the future, that seems like a fun story in the making. This is another great character from you, it is great to see you back. This one is a real winner, great job!

@ Radji, petarvee, pitafish
Grrrrrrr!!!! Sorry about the small page size! I went through photoshop, and well I can never figure out what size these things need to be in... my icon always looks crappy compared to everyone else, and i try the 50x50 pixel! Whats a good page size? The manager won't let me re-upload the intro pages...dang! Thanks for the crits, much appreciated.
To Pitafish, I'm definitely looking to go much more simpler with La Cucaracha than my previous characters as far as story line goes.. plan on having much more fun and ruckus adventures!!!
To Petarvee - Thanks for the crits, i definitely see what you are saying... thanks for that, its hard to see one's own faults..lol
To Radji- Viva los Luchadores!!! I've been watching on how some of the manga artist work and I'm excited to work on a faster pace as far as drawing goes! (now if i can just find those manga assistance to do the background work..hahaha)
ANOTHER FANTASTIC LUCHADOR/SUPERHERO/BADASS MUSTACHIO??? YESS
fun read, but i really wished the pages were a bit larger ^^
otherwise, dig the character, dig the backgrounds, dig the atmosphere !
I really dug it! You've got a lotta nice gritty detail going that really adds some flavor to the setting, and helps convey the tone. Plus, it seems like you've really got your fundamentals down pat, between perspective, anatomy, staging, and pacing. So good on ya for that! On the writing side, it's just simple enough to work, and has just enough uniqueness that I'll still remember this dude a month from now.
The crit-part: Not too much to crit here! The two big points are most page 1, panel 3, where the action momentarily changes direction. It took a couple seconds to re-orient myself and sorta breaks immersion a tad. If you can keep all the action going left-to-right, you'll never really have that issue. Also, tiny thing on page 2; The bottom left panel. Something about how it's stacked with the panel above it makes me wanna go from panel 3-to-6 without reading 4 and 5. So some sorta spacer there would definitely cut that issue out.
But honestly, I just wanna see you keep on keepin on. This is some fundamentally-solid shit, now gimme more!
This was a pretty fun read! I'm quietly hoping the furry confusion becomes a running gag.
In the future, I would suggest uploading your pages in a larger resolution--I needed to squint to be able to read the dialog, and the small size really takes away from the work you put into action lines and textures.
Other than that, welcome to VOID!
