oof this one was close! Sixtem: way to freshen up the comic with a new setting! Kent: Great work tying this with the last comic! There's always something going on in your panels, it's nice~

sixtem: The first thing I notice about your comic is how polished it looks. I think some of your backgrounds and poses may have suffered slightly, but I'd rather have that than unfinished pages! You used your tones very well, and even though I'm pretty sure some of your speedlines and designs were used to avoid having to draw detailed backgrounds, they still look nice and round out the comic much better than a gradient or something equally simple. In short, I think you did an awesome job of balancing the quality of your work to make it the best possible in a week's time. I enjoyed your portrayal of Dipuc, and even though I didn't find Clash and Pistol as interesting, it was still fun to see their complementary personalities in kind of a folklore version of "Good Cop, Bad Cop." Kent, I didn't read round 1, so your comic left me a little lost; however, your storytelling is fun enough that I still enjoyed the whole thing. I especially like how you turned everything around and made Dipuc the antagonist and Clash and Pistol the special forces to help the protagonists. I'm also happy to see you move Jane's story forward, even if it overshadowed your opponents' part in the story. You made me root both for Dipuc and for Clash and Pistol. I think that itself is a big success! I don't really have any critiques as far as things to improve upon; if I had to nitpick, I would say that your lines look pretty rough in places, but I also miss that roughness when you ink digitally, so I think it just works for you! TL;DR: you both had solid comics with entertaining stories and beautiful characters, and I wish you the best for next round!

sixtem- haha I think I liked this feudal fantasy AU! I thought that was clever! I love how you draw Dipuc as well, hes got great expressions. This had some really fun action and some great comedy bits. I really like these shounen manga type stories so maybe that makes it hard for me to judge this compared to the rest of Clash and Pistol comics but I enjoyed the heck out of this. Though i think I kinda agree about the gradients used in the backgrounds, theyre a bit distracting. This is great stuff for one week though! Kent! Nice continuation and use of your last opponent, but I agree with what others said that it maybe takes too long for Clash and Pistol to appear! Its kinda starting to seem more like a Jane Blonde story than a Dipuc story though I understand the crossover. GREAT backgrounds this time though, I loved the cardboard city on page 1 and you kept it up throughout! Nice comic!

Sixtem- I really like your art style; it's very cute. I'm not a huge fan of the gradients you used though, but they're not bad. Kent- Jane Blonde is a great character but I feel like Clash and Pistol could have been better used. Both of these entries had really nice backgrounds and details to them. Good job :)

Been awhile since I've done these, so please don't mind me if I repeat any past crits here; Kent - I really liked how you utilized both opponents from rounds 1 and 2 and still maintained a steady flow of story continuity. My only concern is that when you tag in so many characters outside of your current opponent, an imbalance sets in. For example, we got a lot of screen time from Jane Blonde and Corry, but the main opponent doesn't appear until the near end for a very brief moment. I did like how you ended up giving Clash and Pistol a bigger purpose of protecting Jane though. In short; Excellent continuity, story was engaging, but I'd love to see more screen time with Dipuc in action along with whichever opponent he goes after next. Sixtem - While I did have a good laugh at the prospect of Clash and Pistol getting their engines handed to them by Dr. F, there were some parts that kinda fell flat to me; This is more of a personal opinion, but I kinda wished you would've stuck with the "megaman" theme versus the multiverse story hopping approach. It gave Clash and Pistol a bigger advantage to show off their skills as a fighting robot duo and the prospect of building their opponents into robot masters seemed so much fun! I did enjoy seeing Clash and Pistol as human counterparts, but the story itself just didn't grip me. It just felt very straight-forward, like something I've seen in a ton of manga and anime in the past. I also noticed that a lot of the characters share a similar anatomy build. In page one on the bottom panel, I wouldn't have known right away that was Dr.F(abulous) because he still looked very skinny besides the beer gut. When drawing out bigger dudes it's always a good idea to pack more weight in the arms and legs too. Other than that, your layouts were well organized and readable, inks are super clean and weight-varied, but the strongest points in the comic had to be your action sequences. (I loved that hard THWACK motion in page 5!) Great round from the both of you!

You both did a wicked job this round!! Both of these are really good comics with lots of backgrounds and they're both nice and finished. I like how you took yours in a different direction Six, and I like how even though you had tons of characters Kent you still managed to make it all work. Nice work :)

SIXTEM- Your work this round is just stunning. You really went full bore with the style and theme you gave yourself for this round. Honestly, it almost felt like I picked up a Shonen-jump and started reading. Your inks are so sharp and on point I could cut myself! And your gradients and screen tones weren't too heavy handed either to distract from the obvious star that was your inks. I am shocked and appalled you're able to churn out such quality in nothing more than a week. Definitely something to be proud of! I really have no complaints apart from my own personal peeves on the theme you were following (who do anime siblings address themselves as brother and sister?? So weird), but I can't fault you for following the source material to a T. I really hope, if you move forward that you keep flipping the script and hop us around different dimensions and scenarios. Its pretty fun! KENT- No lie, when I opened to the first page and saw we were on a different scene other than Jane's inevitable assassination I said to my screen 'wait what? what happens?' I get and definitely appreciate the background and build up to where we initially left off, but man. I was on pins and needles! I do like that there seems to be a very organic flow from your opponent in round one to Sixtems fighters in this round. It doesn't feel as clunky as it usually is, in that the artist feels they have to clear the board to contend with the next challenger. You really have a knack for unimpeded storytelling and I think that fact shines in this second round. I certainly hope this is a sign of bigger and more ominous things to come for our good Mayor.
