I was really confused by the car's trunk talking in yours, GPS. I thought they had someone in there they were going to kill in the desert. Since that's not the case, I have no idea what it is they're talking about doing. The drawing is good though.
Qyzex, awesome colors, great backgrounds, nice natural conversation, and I dig the cartoony style.
Six, I think yours was the most entertaining for me, because of that epic titty twister. Dear god, git wrecked indeed.
ROFL, better luck next time, I'll be looking for that BB, I was into it.
I'm inclined to agree about the slur in a general sense but mostly about how its the theme joke of all the comics... like how do i say this... theres some characters i can see maybe saying it because some of the characters here are terrible (Howling) but to see it repeated so often makes me wonder why everyone agreed to such a line ^^; sorry if we all seem like insensitive babies but its a hurtful word and it takes me out of the comic experience by its repetition. But that ASIDE...
rofl, kinda sad its just the one page but i see you had technical difficulties, but the dialogue is funny, hope you upload the rest!
GPS, yours may be my favorite because of the setup and payoff. also yours in the only case where the slur is not my problem but i cant see Howling saying "purple nurple" XD but i think its timed and staged well, i agree with gregly that its a bit blank in the BG department but i followed it well enough. you're really good at these short stories!
Qyzex- gosh, i like how you colour! its nice and naturalistic, i like the green shades. your conversations are very natural, and the setup is funny. its just overall pleasant to read haha.
six- way to follow through with the threat XD your lines are so nice, i like your inks! and you have such great expressions too! i like how Howling is treated like a stray dog, thats funny. This was a great comic!
Good job, guys! Ready to see you all in the SRT!
I'll agree, our punchline probably isn't in the best of taste. Apologies if it rubs people the wrong way. Mostly wanted to just warm up before the SRT since I haven't really done any comics in a long time, and it shows.
rofl: i like your hands and faces (andre's head is kinda small though) but your handwriting is a little hard to read. excited to see the rest!
gps: grey grey grey. really grey! you have a lot of good poses, and i like your level of detail but it would have been nice to see in the back of some of those empty panels. also i just noticed you can see matilda's finger over in the snapshot but it wasn't really obvious, if it was darker it would stand out more... but that's a nitpick.
qyzex: nice colors and some great conversation! I like the little colored shapes you put to dress up panels without backgrounds. the only problem i noticed was a missing word bubble tail on the first panel of page three.
six: this clean linework looks really good! more good conversation. i liked 'fucked up faces convention,' and we finally see a purple nurple!
very good work for a one weeker guys!
While I agree with the hate against the slur, It was what everyone agreed upon being, word for word, for better or for worse, til death do us part. Either way, purple nurple is the punchline, slur or not. Hope people can enjoy the comics despite the slur.
Yeah not really feeling the slurs in this one guys, probably could have done without those. I think the joke could have still just been as funny with something that wasn't so...demeaning.
That aside I gotta say overall I liked Qyz's comic the best, it felt the funniest naturally without overdoing it. Ponch is also rad. Though I have to say I loved Sixtem's "fucked up faces convention" jab.
neens:
I liked how one comic set up ponch to be staunchly against recording, and another was all about recording.
Hah this
Also i found GPSs the funniest. Qyz's is the prettiest. Rolfs MOST HEARTBREAKING. Sixtem ur just too cool. This was an exciting bit of comics guise!
not into the slurs, even if it is a running joke.
otherwise not much to say.. good job with the colors qyz. I liked how one comic set up ponch to be staunchly against recording, and another was all about recording.
