Gregly - You should try mixing up your silhouettes a little bit. Besides Regi, most of your characters have pretty similar body types. One of the best things about you having such an expressive, cartoony style is that you can use such wildly different shapes for all your dudes and it'll still fit. Practice basing people off different simple shapes, or limited combinations of simple shapes. Like long rectangles or tall cylinders with a cube in the middle. I'd also like to see you use more internal lines to describe form. Not like a bunch or anything, that might run contrary to your simple style. But a few major folds in your characters clothes and bodies would definitely help them feel a bit more dynamic. You could also work on your hands a little bit, they can get a little weak. Oddly though, Regi's hands are illustrated with a much higher level of consistent strength. I've definitely always though it was easier drawing square, angled hands, so don't be afraid to draw everyones hands like that first and use it as a guideline to make a normal hand. It sucks that you couldn't finish, because what was there of the storytelling was charming and well paced. I always like reading your comics, you write a great duo! Wutata - Instead of coloring stuff, give yourself more time to work on the line art and the story. You have to budget out your time just like anything else, especially when you know you're not going to have a lot of time to work on it. Next time, make sure each page is done to the best of your ability before you start in on coloring/toning/whatever. Get in all the lovely backgrounds, take your time with your figures, then you can start building everything up with rendering. The beginning of the comic really threw me off. The whole "Ready?" line, and the way she's just sort of standing there, makes it feel like the whole set-up was staged. Like she wanted to get knocked out. Better luck next time dude, but keep working at it! Little things here and there in your most recent comics have me convinced your ready to really level up!

Have to agree with Bobo. Gregly: I was entertained by your characters enough to want to see more and then it just kind of stopped before anything happened. Wutata: I couldn't really follow it at all. The massively empty transition page only succeeded in separating incomplete pages. It felt like a loading bar.

Bobo: I know ;_; I actually did have in mind to re-enact a fight from Pacific Rim, but I had about 1-3 hours a day (even in weekends) to work on this. If Gregly's okay with it, I'll draw that comic (as BB), as I already have some thumbs around and lots lots sketches. This comic was something just popped in my mind I could pull off in the weekend I finally got to myself (and even this is shortened version). We did think about having an extension, but because the Scarmageddon going on now we thought it's best that Greg rather focuses on that. Turnout is horrible from me, and I'll promise to do tons better on the next one. I felt actually bad to submit my entry.

Wow, guys. Seriously? Gregly, your story had some real potential, but it felt like you got bored with it and just rushed the last bit because you had to turn it in. I don't know if you were busy or something, but I was hoping for something much more complete than this. Wu, when you sent us your thumbnails, I was expecting something awesome, but this is just disjointed, sloppy, and I don't get a feel for any of the characters or what is going on in the story at all. Seriously, you might as well have just put a single page with Cecilia hugging Regi, because that's the only part of the comic that didn't feel like filler--and even then, it felt like more of a gag than a real exploration into Cecilia's character. Please put more thought into your characters when you write your next comic, and it'll feel a lot more substantial, even if you're not able to color everything. I hate to be harsh, but you both have way more potential than this, and repeatedly turn in low-quality work compared to what I know you can produce. So buckle down, focus, and show us what you've got! (Especially you, Gregly, because I've got some choice scars for your characters if you don't up your game...)

I'll be cutting superduper close with this one. I have literally one panel to finish, and I'm going to attend my little sister's birthday party today. I will try my best to get my part submitted. EDIT: Submitted something that resembles sequential art
