KAIN, im interested to see what you have to offer. i get confused with your character design, but have no doubt you can hold your own with a pencil. MAKE ME PROUD!

With 3 and a half hours left on the clock, my biggest question is how these two very different fighters are going to meet. This should be really really interesting.

man samurai, CRAZY ACTION!!!!!! never disapoints me daku: man, you know what, your stuff may not look as impressive, but ill tell you one thing, your going the right way, i like the shots, angles, panels, story is a little weak, style needs refining, and u need to fix ur english and stop scribbling on the paper! also your art is all over the place. but ill liked it never the less. keep on rocking man, u got tons of potential ;)

Both very good battles, but unfortunetly this one is a no contest if you ask me. Fuudasha: Once again you just didn't show any mercy to the poor sap, did ya? Well it shows man, I'm deffenetly going to have to pay attention to your backgrounds for referances, so I'm giving you high scores in that area, I thought that it was also very creative, the entertainment seemed to miss a few things here and there (maybe you should of had Daku killing people as well as destroying things ;) ) but you still get my vote with some rather high points my man! Kainsword: Oui... where do I start... The art of yours needs a complete makeover if you ask me. You've got alot of great ideas for your art and it shows, you know that better than I do, but it's still rather messy looking, and very very sketchy. First thing... you need to practice more solid shapes with your characters (especially human characters), Crazy Samuria came out looking like a grasshopper/human hybrid, this didn't come off too good for me since it gave me the impression that you didn't bother to look at the design sheet for Fuu's character. I believe you need to practice putting all of your comic panels in boxes, seeing page 2 shows it best when I see most of the linework crossing into other areas, also you need to practice proper placement of word balloons, the first page got very confusing and I had to swap the balloons around mentaly just for the story to make sence. Also you're laying on the DBZ pretty thick here I'm afraid... DBZ is a good anime and I enjoyed watching it the first time around, the only problem with that show is that it's unoriginal, and having both characters engulfed in flames while they bonk each other to death wasn't what I call entertaining... you need more person against person in the future. Aside from that you've got some good things going on, you do know how to direct the action, if you had more practice in your style we'd all see it, but the art was just not up to my standards, you did a very good job, but I suggest more practice; referance old cartoons, or current shows. That's what I would do if I were you. Sorry about not enjoying the style too much, but don't let that stop you from drawing, you've got a great character, you just need more time and practice, that's all I'm really saying. Anywho, vote goes to Fuudasha's Crazy Samuria, keep it up or something?

It was a little tight on my end with this stupid slow modem connection, but I'm glad it made mine through. Hope you all realized there's no need to adjust your computer volume, this entry was predominately silent this time. First off though, I apologize for the slightly cluttered nature of my entry. I was trying out some new things with my penciling, and I wanted to see how well they transfered to B&W, soooo...some things good, some things bad, gotta learn somehow right? Black and white, as always, is extremely picky, tricky, and....cookie....but fun! Anyway, Philip C, yeah, I would have loved to play around some more with Daku and CS, but I figured in addition to the low dialogue I'd try something different by focusing mostly on the fight this time. Kain, your style is very interesting, but I agree with some that it still needs more work. You have a cool since of motion though, I liked that one panel where our guys were like blurry sparky things, it looked cool. I hope to see Daku in another fight too, so keep making challenges!

fuu...i hate you (just kiddin...ur one of my faves) but i still hate you...with ur freakish attention to detail. ur sick...damnit now i know i gotta step it up in our fight.

kainsworld...well u pretty much know what to work on...but that's what we're all here for, to get better. oh...my suggestion, try using a font for your dialogue instead of hand writing it...i think that will help your entries look a little bit more cleaner and put together...at least in my opinion...anyways, keep it up

Ok fuudasha. Next time I'll focus less on talking and more on the fighting, Thanks for the advice man^_^

Fuu: Damn son. That was some mad crazy shit. My only problem with it was lines seperating frames being small and somewhat hard to see. Daku: Everyone's been tossin up advice, here's mine. Use all of the time allowed in the challenge. A lot of stuff could have been made better with line weight, additional detail, or definitely backgrounds. This battle looked like it was fought in the white abyss of a demension P2 was trapped in.

Great motion and action in both of these. Daku, your writing is a little too much here, especially compared to Samurai's pages. Great potential. And Mr. Samurai, you're frikking amazing.

Awesome work, both of you guys. Hey fuu, how bout a match later, maybe after i attack james? anyway. great stuff. zen.

Daku: In my opinion for your next fight try to avoid smudges in your lettering this make me thing that you made it in a rush. samurai: your art rocks but i see little separation among the panelings and sometimes i can't define whats really happening.. but after all it is great job.

I know everyone is heaping a lot of critisizm on you, Kain, but remember that it's not that we dislike your work. You have great potential, and with some effort you could hone that talent into grade A material. As for Fuu, do I really need to say anything? Your one of my favorite artists in VOID.

samurai, you did an excelent job on these pages, one little suggestion though(please, no comment guys) I think that theres a little too much going on in the pages; maby you can spread the pannels out and you would be able to make an extra page or two out of them, just my oppinion. and Kain, you put up a decent fight, my advice; take the advice of the others that commented, and use all....ok most of youre time to drawing, and you can get awesome at it. youve got a great imagination KID, use that to youre advantage!

Impressive as ever, Fuu. I like how even though there was alot going on, you could tell what was happening. Sometimes having alot of action on a page can get confusing but it was handled were here I feel. Daku: As mentioned before, I think you should work on your placement and lettering. It seems like you rushed through your end of the battle. I might be wrong though o.o; I don't know, but yeah. Still a good shot though.
