Thanks for taking the time to comment and crit everyone, it means a lot to me. I'm going to try my hardest to be gracious and not all self-depreciating and stuff. @Lefred Thank you! After reading your comic, where the conversation is just so good and natural, I think I'm going to try breaking up their speech bubbles into smaller phrases and maybe using more panels on each page. I think that way the word balloons will feel a little less aggressively wordy and the comic might flow better. You and a few others have mentioned the end, and I was trying to rely on explosion deaths being notoriously unpredictable, which is probably not a grrreeeaaat idea since the reaction that in real life is also "Huh, what?". I also think I messed up hardcore by not rendering the explosion clouds darker and more dramatic, making the explosion feel more powerful and sinister. @Bobo I need to hear everything in Underwood's voice. It's like the perfect condiment for life. And thank you so much for the compliments dude, I hope whatever I make next will live up to those expectations. @Adam Thanks so much! That means alot coming from an artist with such amazing art! @Pyras I am incredibly torn about the blue line thing, and Red was totally telling me to get rid of it before the comic went up. And yeah, I prolly should've done the whole brown-scale thing on the drawings earlier, since I knew I was going to be using it later. Thanks bunches Pyras! @Underwoooooooood You just have too much charm to spare <3 @Mista Mista Kent Thanks! The inky bubble thing is because she's supposed to be sort of writing all that into the air, not actually saying it out loud, which is why the bubbles point to her hands. I'm not sure how well that read though :( . And yeah the ending, I totally need to be much clearer on that stuff. @Pocky Thanks! I spent hours looking for a nice font before the fight started. I think it started because I was desperately searching for a font that looked something like Zest's handwriting hahaha. And the blue underdrawing again.I'm totally unable to tell if it looks better with it or without it. SOOOOOOOOOOOO, I can totally remove the underdrawing, and it won't be a hassle. I actually remove any of it that crosses over the characters. I use it to push the blue into the rendering of stuff, so that the backgrounds become a sort of a subtle mix between whatever two colours I'm using. I think I can totally force that without keeping the underdrawing though? I'm going to try it next round, and you guys be sure to tell me which you prefer. UGH TYPO'S. I'm awesome at proofreading other peoples stuff, but I always mess up on my own, no matter how closely I read it. Thank you thank you thank you again everybody, you guys don't know how happy it makes me to know you like it. I've just been a burbling puddle of gawsh all week!

I have a feeling I saw some typos on both of your pages...or not? GPS-Device: Your word bubbles need a little tuneup on the shape. Some of the bubbles look a little wonky because the lines connecting the bubbles are uneven or they The letters are too squished inside; you should give the letters a little bit of breathing space. Transition from color to gray scale was nice (not to mention the narrator lol). I kind of felt the story didn't give much justice to pigeon princess, although not sure if that is good or bad in this case. But you did make a good point to what the Ink Princess is all about. Puzzlething: Nice choice of colors and I really love the font! I'm not sure if you didn't erase the blue underline drawing on purpose or not, but it really adds to a nice unique feeling to it! Hm...yea I can't say much, it's really an eye catcher here.

Geeps - I like the colors on the first pages! Also, the gray on page 3 looks really nice for the flashback, but I wish you'd carried that on through the rest of the story (time constraints, I'm sure!). Ink Princess's bird form, and your rendition of her powers in general, reminds me of the game Okami--which is a good thing :D Can't wait to see your next move, GPS! Puzzle - Lovely artwork, and entertaining story! I like the friendship these two display, and how you rendered your opponent (the little inky text balloon tail is a nice touch!). I was kinda confused about what exactly happened at the end, but I like the last page. Very poignant. Keep it up!

Geeps old boy, lovely start though it kinda faltered a bit tee off the end. Still valiant effort old chap. Dashing effort. Puzzlething you do know how to tickle my fancy with this princess and the story! Boy the story! Blooming fantastic. In conclusion, the rest of my comment will now be a World War I ditty: The Bells of Hell go ting-a-ling-a-ling For you but not for me: And the little devils all sing-aling-aling For you but not for me Oh! Death, where is thy sting-a-ling-a-ling? Oh! Grave, thy victory? The Bells of Hell go ting-a-ling-a-ling For you but not for me. Carry on soldier.

GPS-Device: Lovely story. But I think this would have been better fully colored, personally. Puzzlething: There's my other favorite princess! Beautiful work, but some notes, I'm not sold on leaving the blue sketches just yet here.. and the first panel on page 2 confused me terribly at first, I thought she was looking at a real dead rabbit wrapped in a pouch or something. I think it's because his colors and lines match the rest of the world rather than having some off-tint to them being drawings. Great work both of ya!

Great job guys! Both had a great feel and very different vibe but handled each other well! GPS: Very nice! I like the mood and the transition you put in where ink princess arrives as a bird! Great job! Nice way to dispatch of your opponent I thought. Puzzle thing: wow that was pretty! I loved the look you kept up with through the whole thing, clean and colored... Lol are you kidding me! Great job I was looking forward to this after seeing the design sheet and you didn't let me down!

Puzzle: Please make Underwood read your comic and record it because I need to hear it in his voice k thx bai In serious though, I'm gushing love for your comic. This is the most adorable and entertaining thing I've seen all day (and I'm reading a Neil Gaiman comic!) I can't wait to see more! Geeps: I love the storybook vibe there, and the heartbreaking drama of their relationship and Pigeon Princess's death. Your use of color was really nice, and it's too bad you didn't have time to finish it all. I think you could have gone without that first page, but maybe I'm just not aware of where you're going with this. Either way, I loved your comic and look forward to MOAR!

Both of these are great yo. GPS. It really is a shame you couldn't carry those greys over the last pages, because it creates such a strong atmosphere. I feel like maybe you have finished those pages before coloring the first one, since they're clearly more important. It's a great little comic, though, and I absolutly love how Ink draws herself an eye to be able to cry. Makes me wish I could draw ME some eyes to cry over it. Thing. Just by her design, Pigeon princess was already the most adorable, but having her fangirling over the military comand is just unbelieveably cute. The comic is also fantastic looking, but it gets really wordy; You probably didn't have time to stretch it, but maybe you could have gotten your points across in less words? I don't know, still very fun. Also, the ending. Like, there was an explosion, but the pigeon was standing right next to the ink, so why is she also not dead? and that explosion is kind of far, and they're just standing there, there is no deadly force carried across here, visually, so when the letter appears on the next page, it's kind of disapointing, like there wasn't anything worthy of having killed that character.

OMG OMG OMG That was so great GPS! I can't believe you referenced the real Cher Ami, so awesome! I still remember your first fight in the last SDT, and it's crazy how much you've improved! Even the improvement from your last comic is super noticeable. You're really working hard to get those proportions correct. It's a shame you couldn't get that rendering throughout the whole comic, because it was nice and clean, and added to the atmosphere wonderfully. The only real criticism I feel comfortable to give (Man I hate critiquing my opponents) is that you draw texture sort of the same regardless of distance. Texture should be more visible and detailed the closer an object is, and sort of fade away and become less distinct the farther the object is from the viewer. Just like I knew it would be, the story was short and lovely, hinting at something greater. Great atmosphere, great writing. SDT is hell, but I know I love going through it just to see amazing comics like these!

Uploaded! I wrote a much shorter story than I would normally, because the last time I tried to do a digital comic for SDT I almost died trying to do like 5 pages. But it seems like I'm not as slow as I was so herp derp I ended up finishing way too early. I can't wait to see your side GPS, I'm crazy excited!
