I adore your use of color in all your comics, but especially this one. The black and red page, with all its beautiful patterns was a stand-out favorite of mine. Great bit of character development for Wizzie (and a nice hairstyle for her too), can't wait to see more.

I'm totally surprised Red didn't show up and freak out the moment you said Jim Mahfood. That dude is craaaazzy good. I totally want to try emulating his stuff someday. I see where you're trying that out, but I think if you're gonna try to Mahfood it up you could go way further. Loosen up your lines even more, and really get in there with the crazy blacks and hatching. Mahfood is way more about describing form with his ink than his colors, and I totally think you have the strength of form to go for that. Also, using the right tools can help a lot when it comes to replicating a certain look. Red has a post in "What tools do you use and why?" thread where she just gushes about her ink pens, which she bought after asking Mahfood what he uses. It's an amazing comic, I love how easily you capture expressions and emotion, and that hand lettering fits so well. You and Zest make me want to give up fonts entirely. Aside from the melodrama, page 6 is sooooooooo sweet. I wish you did more of those cool notepad style drawings in the comic, not because the comic needed it or anything, but just because I loved it so much. Your colors were also really nice, but I feel like after page 6 you got less bold with it. You could've gone way more intense with the shadows/light and the blue/purple red/brown shifts at nighttime, and the daytime desert scenes were a little plain. I love the colors in the charm though, dat cyan and yellow. So nice.

Sabu: Better luck next time. Hats: It's always a treat to read your stuff. You've got such an interesting style to your comics. Not just in the way you draw people and backgrounds, but the loose shape of the panels, the irregular sides of the speech bubbles, and the handwritten font. It's all got this sort of 'roughness/ruggedness' that just works so well together and fits the whole desert theme. However, I do have to agree with Bobo and Pyras. I know you've given us a lot of detail into Wizzie's personality and relationships with other characters through various jams and whatnot, but it would be great to see more of that in these main comics.

Hats I am BLOWN AWAY by this comic. I just stared at certain panels wishing I could pack in as much emotion. The story, the detail, the little things got me! I loved it through and through.

HAAATS!!! I want more Wizzie Belles, so there. Anyways, I'm really digging your style and everything, and it's fun how you're experimenting with different elements in your art. Your colors, as always, are just amazing and beautiful and I want to make love to them or whatever (I'm tired, okay? Just ignore my weirdness). My only real crit is that I feel like there's a lot of Wizzie's story that happens behind the scenes. I don't know if I would be able to keep up if I weren't keeping track of her on Tumblr and DeviantArt. She just goes through so much, I wish I could see more of it in her comics instead of just on my dashboard. That said, I can see you're working hard to tie your comics together (and keep them in harmony with other major events on VOID, which is fun!), so my critique is really just a nitpick, not a big thing at all. I just want more comics from you. I know you're busy, but a guy can dream, can't he? :)

@Becs: Already thanked you for the crit' on skype but I'll thank you here again - THANK YOU. haha, Yeah I'll be watching out for those faces and I'll try out colouring the splatters if I do stars again in a comic (The BB i'm working on is the same for this comic but it's obviously done before the suggestion sooo yeah blablabla). @LeFred: Yeaaaaaaaaaaah Page 6 has a bit of a love-hate relationship with me, I noticed it was way too melodramatic also of a sudden, I decided to work on a page to go in between 5 and 6 where Wizzie was going to be sort of hallucinating and stuff but I only got as far as one panel with the page and struggled with it too much to be happy with it. Though I totally know what you mean about the questionable "Breaking down in front of a stranger" I think if I did manage to go about it different it would have helped a lot more. Initially, the story was a lot shorter - about 9/10 pages infact but I got concerned that the pacing at the start would have been a lot slower then the second half so I tried to even it out - But thank you! and I'm glad you're happy to see Wizzie back. Oh, also I just have a thing for skinny necks but I'll watch out for it in the future. @Neeners: MMMmmmm Tank Girl.... Like I said to LeFred, page 6 obviously is a bit of a hit-and-miss page but I was trying to be experimental for it - and that face gets me too but I moved on from it and forgot about it. My lineart style was inspired by a guy called Jim Mahfood (surprise surprise a Tank Girl artist) who has a similar line inconsistantcy that I liked and experimented with - it needs work on though admittedly. Thank you! Also yeah, faces, gotta keep an eye out for those lately!

so I see you like tank girl, haha. this was nice overall! page 6, I want to love it because it's clearly supposed to be a dramatic page, but I cannot get over that face I'm afraid. the head appears to be angled one way, while the face is another. there's a few panels here and there where wizzie's head looks big. I also wish your lines were just a tad more consistant, you have some super thick and very thin lines on the same figures, with seemingly no rhyme or reason to them. but again, this does look very good overall. good colors, cute drawings, and I was into the story.

This was pretty sweet, I absolutly love your colors. I found that the necks were kinda ridiculously thin at times, mostly when not in more cartoony style, where they work well, but in the more 'standard' style, on front shots, it looks really painful. The 'Running from myself' page, though it looks pretty nice, felt out of place to me. It's way too melodramatic. When some stranger comes to you and asks what you're running from, you don't half fall and grip your knees crying a confession of your deep troubles to them. Especially since she didn't seem to be about to cry before, or had cried after. I also feel that the the starry sky didn't fit the rest of the style and the changes between cartoonier and other styles annoy me, though I'm sure others might find it 'cute' or 'funny'. It seemed like the story had several endings and I always expected to be on the last page. I mean, you could have stopped at any point from page 9 and I wouldn't feel like there's anything missing. Not that the following pages are not nice, but they feel a bit disconnected. Anyway, it's super cool to see Wizzie back in action! SABS: That's two comics you need to finish, now! D:

Sabu - It's a shame you couldn't get done on time. These things do happen, although I am a bit confused because I definitely saw several WIPs from you. Remember, even the simplest sketches are preferable to a default! I look forward to seeing your half as a BB, though. Hats - I really loved this! The story flowed nicely and even though at its core this was just a dialogue between two characters, you really gave it a lot of interest both visually and conceptually. These two characters are very different but you managed to work them both seamlessly into the story. I also love how you've led into the current VOID TTT events at the end! The aesthetic of the comic is really nice and I love your use of colour and lighting. One part that particularly struck me was the switch from night to day; you worked the colours really well there to show the change in lighting and mood. Aside from what you already mentioned, a couple of things I noticed are sometimes the proportions on the faces are a bit off and they lose their volume a little - a good example of this is on page 6, at the angle Wizzie has her head there you wouldn't be able to see her whole face, both her eyes and probably her nose would be covered by her hair. Her face just doesn't seem placed right on her skull so keep an eye on that! Other than that, there's only nitpicks, for example Johnny's gun switches hands on page 5, and also although I love how you do the stars with the paint splatter effect, the stark white against the black doesn't quite fit with the rest of the highly-saturated style. Maybe you could add some colour to the stars to give them more impact, like you'd see in a lot of those galaxy photographs. But overall I thought this was a well-written and well-executed comic.
