Coatl: That was pretty fun! You've got some really nice flourishes in this comic, the panels with the rebel soldiors on pages 2&3 especially. You have a really nice sense of style in those that I don't feel follows through in the rest of the comic completely, which is a shame. So I'd just say that you might want to focus on consistency of style and quality, because your comics are certainly entertaining.
JBK: Those inks! Damn. I love the balance you've got going on, you use blacks excellently. Now this might just be a personal gripe, but the hatching really doesn't work for me in places. You use it on the reporter in page 3 and I just feel it looks kinda messy, and doesn't flow with the clean confident inks we see later on. I'm not sure if you ended up feeling the same way, since it doesn't appear from page 6 onwards, but I just want to reiterate how much I think your work improves because of it. And of course the gag was very poignant haha, well done on that.

Coatl: Like Bobo said, your finished work was pretty fun to see, but all those unfinished panels really hit you in the quality sector. You have great panel set ups too and different angles everywhere. Very dynamic. Haha. I was sitting here trying to figure out what game your comic was reminding me of and then I saw GPS' comment about Metal Slug. Rock on!
JBK: Great art and a hilarious story that addresses a problem turning into an epidemic. :I No shows are horrible.Too bad Boxo didn't make it to his fight. He should be ashamed of himself....

JBK--Oh gosh. That last page totally threw me. I love the "meta-comic" (to borrow jargon from the VOIDcasts) elements in yours, and then how you created a paradox out of it. Very creative and cool, and I'm still laughing a little on the inside. I hope you do keep up this awesome work.
Coatl--I loved your more completed panels, but the drastic changes in level of completeness, style, etc. really threw me. I also got a little lost on a few of the panels as to where everyone was and who was saying what. Definitely work on consistency and making sure stuff like that is clear. I really enjoy your style, so keep it up!

Coatl: Haha, wow... I was listening to Anamanaguchi (the chiptune band) when reading your comic. Somehow particularly appropriate. Bizarre in places, but a fun read overall.
JBK: Glad to finally see Boxo in action, and you didn't disappoint... that sequence with Boxo chucking his drink in his face got me in particular!

Great turnout on both sides you two!
Coatl: I liked you round. The whole Metal Slug shtick got a chuckle out of me. One concern I have to note though: Between *pages two and three, there feels like a break in the action. It goes from super intense firefight, to crouching behind a barrel, with nothing in between. Watch out for that. As well, a lot of your poses came out nice. I really liked them on page 4 in particular. The poses made it feel right. But as well, some felt a little stiff. Particularly in the firefights. Just keep working on it, cause I can tell you, your coming along. A shame it isn't one hundred percent complete.
JBK: There is nothing I love more than seeing that someone is willing to take a stab at themselves. All those little details you threw in really added some life to this. And your inks? Loved em. As well, you've got some amazing backgrounds in the beginning, but as the battle goes on, they start to become more sparse, until they vanish pretty much completely. I realize this might be a time thing, but try to get some kind of background in each page.
Overall though, I really loved both of your sides. Keep up the great work!
