oh my gosh, all the super blacks are super awesome, and the character designs are so much fun, I love it! though like some folk said I did think some of the panels were a little crowded, but overall its better work than I can do so who am I to judge? Nice intro!
Thanks for all the comments guys. I'll respond to all the critique sometime later on. Really glad to have a warm reception on this one since I kinda started it all on a whim (it started out as a joke originally in the DA chat). All this kinda spawned from multiple jokes!
Fun fact though: A good 70% or so of the background inks off page 1 I had to go back and do over a second time because my computer randomly restarted costing me a ton of work on that page. But it was still fun.
Way to build up a rep and some street-cred for your Pyrokinetic femme fatale. I know they're you're archetype of choice and you excel at them. You've honed your style into a darker, inkier, blockier, heftier mass than ever before. ITs a very graphic style, and while you're pages are very high contrast, they have such an airy playfulness to them. It reminds me of Jim Mahfood a bit. If anything the halftones are a bit too heavy, there's no where for the eye to rest.
I dig the premise of a galactic super villainess and bounty hunters hot on her keister, but how useful is a pyretic in oxygen less space? If anything- your environments have improved a lot, you create a real sense of place but need more interaction between your characters and that space to bring it to life. Vehicles, some dirt, some props will do you wonders.
Overall can't wait to see what you do with her, pretty complex story arc you've set up here.
Oh man you are NAILING that heavy blacks style.
That said, there were a few things I think you could do without. The thing comic panel borders really scrunch the pages up, and we don't get much room as a reader to breathe from panel to panel.
Secondly, the final page's pose of Pyro Pyroro looks off, mainly her left arm. It just doesn't look right.
I'm intrigued by the premise and you introduce Priscilla and Simon Law fairly well considering the page constraints, but we don't get much of Priscilla beyond her record and that last page. A full splash is effective, but if you can use the space to better throw the characters in our face do it.
Overall, AWESOME.
Very tight, very clean. I find the panels to be a little "busy" but that's an element of the style and you certainly are using it to good effect. You're something of a force to be reckoned with, aren't you, Orange?
This is fabulous. I can't wait to see where you're going with this wild possy.
Interesting approach with that collection of characters! Enjoyed the intro story, great detail and easy to follow... looking forward to seeing you do some battles with 'em!
