GPS - Congrats on your first entry. Puzzlthing said the same thing i was thinking. I still like the gory, sloppy, bloody death at the end, hahaha. Stay around and do some longer battles. Welcome! Monday - I love me some inks. Crazy story which i didn't really get, but at the same time i did. If that makes any sence. I like how you protrayed Eli, his personality reminds me of them 90's action heroes. Action all over the place, extra donut points for you! Shame i'll never get to fight Black with Rtv. I would've love to see two copies go at it. You might have bigger guns, but i have bigger tits. hahaha I'm glad you survived the first round. I'm rooting for ya.

Angie-Thanks for the tips. I'm still pretty new to the whole comic thing, and I'm even newer to digital work, so a lot of this is inexperience on my part. I'm honestly still trying to find "me" amongst everything, so with more practice, I hope to one day please. Puzzlething- My line work is something that I am still trying hard to get wrestled in, and I really do hope to improve. #1 is those hairy lines. As far as the coloring, I didn't really think about it composition wise. Something that I will now definitely try to hone in on. I've never really had an eye for color scheme, so this is proving to be yet another thing that that is coming back to bite me on. As for the lettering, being new, I'm still trying to figure out the finer points, so I'm happy you're pointing out the ones I'm still overlooking. All in all, thank you guys for the tips. I'll try to work on all of them, so that when I finally get a character for the normal Void circuit, I can give something that's less of an eye sore, and more enjoyable overall.

Man, this fight! GPS - Happy first battle dude! Hopefully you stay around after this, it can only get easier! SDT is crazy stressful and a lot of work, so everything else will be like a vacation now! I'm aware that working so quickly can cause anyone to take a huge dive in quality (I know it does for me) so sorry if I criticize anything that isn't normally a problem for you. First off, you need to work on your line quality. Especially for such a stylistic/cartoony style, you need to use as few lines as possible to illustrate your figures, to keep them looking active and alive. You've got a bad case of hairy lines in many of the panels. You don't need to etch the line into the page, practice using larger motions for your line making. If you're going to use a monochromatic color scheme with an accent color, you need to be aware of your composition more. Every spot you put color into the piece is going to instantly draw the viewers eye and hold them for it a bit, and the viewer will most likely take the path of least resistance to the next spot of color. Quite a few dudes on void (including angie!) have rocked the black-and-white-and-red color scheme, so check around to see how other people are making it work. This may sound sort of nitpick-y, but choose one font and stick to it. You may think it gives each character a unique voice, but that's the job of the writing. At best a font should be unnoticeable, because the reader becomes aware of the letters, they're not paying attention to the story anymore. Monday- The moment I saw Kurt Russel Action Hero style Eli, I started laughing hysterically. It was glorious. It was perfect. Your use of lights and darks made everything clear; the action was very readable. I'm normally not into fight scenes, but these were a joy to read. I don't know if it was the time limit catching up with you or not, but you started losing your grey tones early, and once you lost your interior, they completely disappeared. I love your black and white work, but I think you should've committed a bit more to the greyscale if you were going to to make it a part of the aesthetics. The characters and idea were lovable, but I think you could've done without the "Oh by the way we're totally bro's" comment near the begging. There wasn't time to convince us these two are good friends along with everything else you're doing. Since you had the whole "BURNING HEART OF COURAGE" thing going on, that was really all you needed, if you wanted to crib from shounen. The hero in those things convince strangers to sacrifice themselves all the time, simply through DETERMINATION and LOVE.

GPS-welcome to Void, I hope you stick around! I think this was a good start, but it may have looked far better had you done it traditionally. I say that because there are times the digital hinders you like the last panel of page 3. Remember that an explosion often takes a specific form and shape if you look at photographs of it, it definitely doesn't look like a scribble. It would have also been helpful to fill your blacks in instead of use scribbles. Monday-I found Black very charming in this, I enjoyed the whole "Black thinks he's a shonen character" angle. I felt like the "we're going to escape together bro!" story felt sort of tacked on. I get it's sort of a trope which kind of went hand in hand with Black's thinking he's in a shonen manga, but it doesn't work as well when the audience really doesn't care that the two have some sort of friendship because we weren't given time to.
