Captain, that was fukking bad ass. From opening page till the last one. Excellent detail and dynamic action. I know the deadline had you in locked in an armbar with yer birthday and all, so extra kudos for pulling this off with high quality. I like how both our comics had at least 1 quote revolve around roses. As for me. I changed Rose's outfit and hair colour to make her look more floral and make the arrows look like roses. Didn't have much story to tell about my own character, his brother basically does it for him. Tried to tell my own story by merging the other character. Also tried to make the story outside-Void-reader-friendly. Yeah i had no death in it, which i didn't plan to either...forgot this was death match till the last day. i actually just wanted to draw a blue ape. Thanks for reading.

RTV nice quality and coloring throughout, I'm loving the concept for your S.D.T. amazing action great plotting of the fight scenes, keep up the amazing work! alberto, awesome city fightin action, could've used a bit more buildup, but the death was clever, sweet job with the armaments!

Rtv-The story was surprisingly adorable for you, which I enjoyed. It's nice to see you do a comic with more lively characters. (not that your others aren't good, it's just it's good to see you do something besides badasses) I'm definitely enjoying this guy a lot more than I thought I would. I feel like this would have worked a bit better either with grayscale or more care put into the color selection. The blue/orange saturated color scheme on Hanhuman looked pretty jarring compared to the nice color scheme you had on everything else. You could definitely stick with the blue/orange, but I would have put cool tones for the shading on him instead of straight up chromatic blue/orange. alberto-The lineart was wonderful and is always your biggest strength. There however wasn't much to the story. Which is fine as I'd have preferred this to a comic where you tried to do a big epic lengthy story and didn't finish, but I feel like this is a problem you've had in the past even with comics with lengthier deadlines. Short doesn't equal bad, but everything felt like it kind of came out of nowhere and bam, dude's dead. Again, I totally get this is going to happen with SDT, it's just something to keep in mind on other comics.

I was totally blown away! RTV: To be honest, I was never a fan of your comics. I don't know it might be just your style when you started out but i never could get involved with the stories, Mainly RTV!'s battles and scrambled storyline. WHY do I mention this, because I fucking love this first round you've done!!! Just engaging from start to finish with a story that starting off strong in this first round. You start off with an epilogue that doesn't feel like exposition, but in fact sets the mood for me, and transition well into the start of the comic. The dialogue was great, period. Hahnuman and Hermes talking felt genuine, making me feel like they really had a connection, and then discovering they were brothers was a nice touch. The angles really worked for this story, the first half being quiet and calm. Showing dynamic perspective but overdoing it, only to move the story. Then everything gets jammed packed as the action starts, and you give us some nice angles and close ups mixed with good perspective. For just week, you did a superb job with the environment. Nothing spectacular but with enough detail to give us the idea of a jungle as well as contrasting with the character so they don't just blend in. The only real gripe I have is it's unfinished with no one dying. You probably didn't have time and that alright, no biggie. Overall a fun read with engaging characters, good dialogue, and above all, making your opponent character intimating as well as giving her some character development that affects the story and not just senseless exception. THUMBS UPS!! Alberto: This is what SDT is about. Their isn't anyhting wrong with trying to keep a on going story in a tournament. But I do love these sort of battles like the one you've done here. Short, simple, and straight to point with no bullshit!!I love simple B&W lineart, especially done well as you've shown here. Page one just gives us so much with dynamic poses, intriguing perspectives, and nice depth into your opponent. Right off the bat, he gets center stage to let us know Hahnuman is BADASS and all outta gum, ready to kick ass!!! He jumps out at me then climb up a building and starts smoking, and I feel so excited to know just what's going to happen. Yet all this praise and imagery doesn't overshadow Thorn Rose who is just as badass, as well as more intimadating with her weapons she dishes out on the next page. It pulled me in, wanting to see Hahnuman rise up to the challege as well as making me forget this is your battle, and that he'll die in the end. But as I said i forgot all about that and read on as well as loving the panel layout you've done on page 2. Closing up on Haunuman, then a worms eye view of Roses assault, then BOOM!!! The last page I'll admit felt a little sped up, almost like you could have spread it out for a 4th page. BUT despite this I love how you ended this fight. Clever way of killing him as well as giving ending with sorta a poetic touch, and let's not forget such a great line as "Run Run, her comes the gun!", a fitting end to a formidable opponent. THUMBS UP!! Both of you guys were fantastic! What a great start, and such a bitch that you both can't continue!
