Cool comic QYZ, it's nice to see Ponch's sensitive side. I like the colors you chose too.
Thanks for the critiques, everyone. I know what I should work on, and honestly wish I had more time to devote to this...but my day job (sometimes night job) keeps me busy.

Qyz, although the surrealy weird color scheme thing has never been my thing, you do pull it off nicely here. It's pleasing to the eyes. I'm also not a fan of skipping the "how did we ever get into this mess?" portion of a story. Even a "I never should have picked you up" would have at least told me who the guy was after and why they're now both running. I spent the whole comic waiting for an explanation which didn't allow me to really focus on what was going on and be in the moment. As far as linework your style is very consistent through the whole comic. No drastic anatomy changes or failed attempts at perspective, which is awesome because even the best of us usually have a few. I am a little confused on how Madelyn gained the ability to make herself and any nearby bikers explode at will. Coupled with the unexplained predicament they're in this asks my suspension of disbelief to stretch so much it's going to be sore in the morning, but from an artistic standpoint I like this comic.
Xin, I like your art style. As loose as it appears to be here, I still like it. I'm not, however, fond of your pages here. The minimum pages is 3 which technically you accomplished, but the first is like a backgroundless poster and the third (while i do like the frame that's in it) is mostly dominated by apology text. Since I'm heartless and immune to any excuse, it just appears as dead space to me. A virtually empty third page and a fan art for a first page is what I'm seeing, which makes me groan. You're also guilty of the "drop in at a random point in the story" issue that I addressed with Qyzex comic. I know the other Void kids do it, but in published comics they usually try to clear that gap for you rather than leaving you to jump to conclusions. And... Well... Frankly I just don't like it, and this is my critique, so I can bitch about it if I want. Your second page I like though. Like Qyzex you seem to have your own style and stick to it consistently. The establishing shot lets me know exactly where I am and what's going on, which is great. Also, I got a chuckle from the dialogue and such. It's cool that you have clean enough handwriting to do all your own text, I know many people here prefer it. Be careful though, the "fuck you" is bordering on too small. Try to stick to a comfortably read size.
Both of you made enjoyable comics in your own ways and I hope to see more from each of you.

To Qyzex: I actually liked the look of your art on the texture paper; it made the desert pop more.
To Xintastic: I'm not gonna beat a dead horse, you know what needs to be fixed for next time. I will say this, your line work looks great; keep up the good job!
Good job guys, thanks for not defaulting :)

Xin, love your comics. The terrible thing about them though is that they leave me wanting MORE. This was short but fun. I would like to see some stronger linework in the future though. This is fine but I think you can push it more and bring more life and dimension to your work with stronger lines. The screentone did it's job in filling up the space but I'm sure you could have done more with it. I'm just chalking up most of these errors to time constraints. Keep doing it so you'll get faster.
Qyz, I'll kill you. That having been said this was fun too but too short in a different way. Not enough build up for this dramatic moment methinks. Coulda used some more cleaning etc. etc. I had a problem with the green shading. I feel like it overpowers the rest of the art and adds to the darkness and confusion of the scenes. I think a lighter or more unsaturated green woulda been nice.

Qyzex: Good stuff and surprisingly touching despite its length. My only gripe is that I would have liked to see more than the ending of the outcome.
Xintastic: Great style and that punch was choice. My only gripe is that you didn't finish XD
Good work, both of you..!

Xin your style gets me super happy. And Qyz, I was expecting a super humerous Ponch comic and was actually pretty surprised (in a good way of course!)
The only thing I'd suggest Qyz is that the texture etc made everything really dark and a little hard to see at times.
Xin, its too bad you didn't have time to finish or at least get things to that first little cover there. As it stands there wasn't even really 3 pages of comics : (. I still liked what I saw though.
Sorry I am not being more in depth there just wasn't much here xD

Two really distinctive styles,...two who i really like alot !
Qyzex:the story read well,i liked the fact that i was a ''dating'' story sort of ,instead of a bashing brains battle.
the pacing was allright, tho a bit ''boring''.
i really like what ya did with the coloring,..it was a bit to ''dirty'' in some pannels but overall it really added to the overall sphere.
Xintastic: Too bad you couldn't finish it,it was intresting ,most of it because of the style, cause the story was to short to really say anything about it.
so the style is where if give you points for ,whatc out with the patterns tho, some line work tends to get coverd up by it .

Yep...I wasn't able to finish mine. But I'm at least glad I had some time out of work to draw for myself for once. I'm basically using this site and it's deadlines to motivate me a little more. Little steps.

still working on it, but I wouldn't expect anything remotely close to what I did in the tourney. Too much shit came up.
I'll tel you now, Xin, we will need to have a rematch someday, so I can give you a proper battle
