I've always been a fan of your line work and your coloring on this one was pretty good too. I would love to do a horror artist match. I've been waiting forever for someone to take me up on that. So yeah, rematch in the future for sure!

Angie: Thanks I've been really trying to up my Lineart and i'm glad you like it. I tried to combine the lineart from my Bhaav and Mannsik fight with the lineart from my Zedan Dromer, so I'm glad that it worked. The Colors were an experiment, I'm reading a book on digital color and the 1st chapter was on Flats. but by the time i finished the flats on all 12 pages, i ran out of time to do much rendering (highlights and shades) on them. I wanted to jazz it up a little bit so i added to the gradients, trying to pull off something like Grant Goleash in 100 Bullets. I guess it flopped tho. Thanks for the crit on page four, i knew it was missing something but figured it was just the lack of backgrounds. I think an extra panel or 2 would have helped a lot there. If you have any more tips for my colors please let me know I'm really interested. Pyras; Thanks i'm glad you liked it. I know what you mean though, I liked JAZ's better as well! lol. I am planing on doing different stories for future Ethos fights. JAZ: DANG GIRL!! this was cause i put Tekka in a Skirt isn't it?! lol. Seriously though, i really liked your entry and it was a blast to battle you. Your one of my favorite void artists and i have loads of respect for you. I really like the style you did this battle in. You seem to switch up your style a lot, but i hope you stick with this one for a while. I'm gonna go lick my wounds, but once i get better we should rematch! Maybe a Horror Themed Artist match? Both are excellent submissions! In the end my vote tilted to JAZ for the comic's vibrant colors and a slightly more satisfying ending. Your story and ending still rocked, Pen! But the happy ending JAZ delivered felt a tad fresher as far as Void stories go.

Penryn-Your lineart has come along nicely, I like where you're going with it. The colors here are an improvement and the color choices for the most part were nice, they really shined in the scenes with a more neutral palette. The only thing I disliked there was the gradients, they looked very out of place against the flats. It would have been better to just keep those areas as flat colors. Story wise it would have helped for a small recap of sorts, but I got the gist of what was going on by revisiting your previous comic. The one thing that really stood out to me was in the action scene page 4 I didn't catch what had happened on the first read through. It may have helped to add an additional panel between the 1st and 2nd so they would have felt a bit more connected because right now he created this large energy barrier thing around himself, punched him, then all of a sudden he's small and there's glowing and then he makes blue arrows appear. Adding just a little more information there would have helped me get it on the first go. Other than that it was a pretty enjoyable read, really the only thing that would have hurt both you and Jaz is people not reading the previous comics that lead up to this. Jaz-I like where your colors have been going, the subtle textures and gradients give everything a nice warm feel which looks nice on your lines. You do occasionally make some odd choices with poses and judging the distance between two characters. For instance, on page 3 Chia-hui is right behind her but in the 4th panel he's suddenly far enough away from her to where he's a leg's distance away. That and I felt like it was a little odd that she stopped him with her foot, provided I understand the shot wouldn't have been quite as dynamic had you had her use her hands. And on page 9 I didn't get until the 3rd read through or so that it was Bhaav there in the last few panels. Perhaps having at least one panel focus on him would have helped as I thought it was the big kitty talking to her. Good read all around from both of you.

I really like when the same story is told from different angles; it lets the viewer see into the creative mind of each artist. Great job you two.
