LOL can't believe i missed this :( Funny fun stuff!

Well, it looks like I won't be able to continue this. Been very busy and I could only think of one good joke strip for the past round. Idunno, if I suddenly get struck by inspiration this week it might change.

I can't; the current round has to be close to finishing before I can start solidifying gags XD And there's alot of close calls this round. But thanks for the enthusiasm~

Cool idea for a tourney companion, I got a few chuckles. Nice quickie, you had some good funny expressions and actions of the different characters!

Kevin Birtcher: Personally, I think this should be getting some higher scores than it has been. Highly entertaining. Hope to see another like this after Round 2 I second that. It was great fun to read! Even if you did it in half a day and are now trying to dismiss any praise you got ;)

I appreciate the thumbs up from folks even if it's not fully deserving or deserving at all. Qyzex: From conception to the last stroke, about half a day's worth of time, and that's inbetween other errands and priorities I tried juggling at the same time... ..which I guess makes it less..? Idunno Bottom line: it wasn't alot of time. Hence the abhorrent result. It was either release it at the time of posting or weeks later, and I made a decision.

I am just curious. I would like to know the approximate time you were able to spend on this?

Thanks for the thorough notes BM; I wanted to draw this out as quickly as possible and slap it up since there's a high chance I won't have time to work on anything else for a while and I wanted this out before Round 2. Chances of a sequel are slim because of said situation. Sorry it sucks but I kinda knew that coming in. Call it suicidal I guess~

Quality: I've noticed with this comic, among a few of your past ones that you tend to have this rushed feel in your line work. You put a lot more effort in refining your hype illustrations, giving it clean lines and colors than you do for a lot of your pages. Your line widths are all over. Anatomy is a bit inconsistent...though this is more forgivable here since it looks like you geared the characters in a SD/chibi style on purpose. You need to work on making your line art just as bold and strong as your hype illustrations. Vary the line widths and play with more shadows to get a stronger 3D feel to your art. Entertainment: Despite the fact you gave quite a few guest appearances in this comic, the humor just didn't fall right with me. It felt like each character was forcing out their own already established characteristics ( J.J= Bum, Mr. Awesome = wacky f*cknut, etc. ) making each interaction predictable and cliche'd. Creativity: Making a comic around a news report is a pretty unique idea, and I do admit it's a rare concept so it's nice to see you trying something different. I did like the one panel where the camera is dropped on a dutch tilt to make the scene more convincing. Overall, when it's a normal match I can understand deadlines and having to rush at some elements. When it's a BB, very little excuses can be made. You got the skill set to make a decent comic, but your habits of rushing the line art need to be addressed too. Take your time! Slow and steady wins the race.

Cute idea, just really wish you spent more time on those lines. You could have at least shaded this. Why didn't you have time to do that for this?

yeah, okay, the idea is kinda cool. But, really, why would you put something of this quality up? I question if you even try. Also, didn't find it funny. the humor felt really forced.
