Orange: Nice work, I liked the quality you had for this. Love the solid blacks. I felt that Luna needed to be more in the story though, that ending line just didn't feel as strong to me for some reason. Josh: you need to spend a little more time on your pages, man. I know you can do some really wicked stuff! Any who as others have mentioned this was looking good and was entertaining, but then started falling apart.

Man, good asskicking you gave me! This really came together for you in 48 hrs, I'm frightened to think what you do with more time.. Style was sweet, nice tones and environments, bravo for having the same story idea, but telling it more succinctly and at an entertaining pace. Thanks for all the comments everyone :)

Orange - Your linework really shines here! Impressive work for such a quick turnover! Story took a hit, but I'm sure you'll be more prepared next time. Josh - I like where the style is going, but things slowly degraded visually as the comic progressed, no doubt as time winded down. I appreciate your commitment to getting the whole story out, tho, hopefully next time you can even things out a bit.

Nope! She still has it! I was contemplating putting it into this comic but I have a better (read: cheesier =/) meaning behind it not being on sometimes after thinking about it some more. Thanks for the crit too Del, I do agree that sometimes it blended like that. I'll be more conscious of that in the future. Thanks :)

This battle was a very interesting compare/contrast! Orange has tons of thick, heavy lines that add to the overall dark tone of the comic. Whereas Josh's comic has lots of light, pastel colors and hardly any lines at all which help to accentuate the humor. Orange: I realllyyyyy dig the heavy lines and dark look. Really I do. The issue I had though was your panel spacing. The panel lines were often the same thickness as your lineart, so some panels blend together when they really shouldn't. Made following the pages a bit difficult at times. I love how you drew Oinko. He looks so fun in your style! Josh: The lightness of your pages, as I said before, helps to accentuate the humor. It somewhat takes away from the more serious elements, though. Try finding a balance between the two. Light lines in light scenes, darker lines and heavier shadows for the more serious stuff. Your story was well-plotted and pacing nicely done. I quite enjoyed the hospital scenes. Slight push ahead to Orange for a more finished and overall more effective read, but I enjoyed both comics well enough. :) Good work, guys!

Jax: Good setup but a kinda nonexistent pay-off. Everyone knows I'm a fan of the BnW with splashes of color so I totally dug it here. Hopefully next round wields better results :) Josh: Although you both went the same route with the story I like it in yours more, if only because it was far more developed.. ..but the art got sacrificed in the process :( Both comics seem to be flipsides of the same narrative which is interesting, one has the stronger art and the other stronger story.. but without images, Josh's side gets lost and hard to read so I ultimately gave to Jax.

Nice stuff Jax, though it definitely seems like this suffers from 'had a long term plan until I realized 2 days before the tournament it wasn't feasibly possible' syndrome, which I myself have suffered from, believe me. Really like the heavy blacks here, reminds me of Gurren Lagann. Josh, not sure about the lineless art here, but major props for posting something and not just ending the comic midway through. I like the continuity you have going

Man, Orange, fucking impressive for 48 hours worth of work. I think the heavy darks suit Luna comics well. the tones felt a bit heavy in some places, but mostly not bad. good work. Joshua, It was pretty neat, and while I liked this style for MCMMM, I dunno if it works so well for Sam Oinko. I miss your hard lines. Too bad it's an incomplete comic, it had me interested!

Haha dude I liked your side, I wish it was finished but such is life :P. I find it so funny that we went down similar routes in terms of the story, which was way unintentional :D.

UPLOADED. I managed to get my pages all done in 2 days. It is mega rushed so its not entirely what I'd consider my best work and I can do much better, but hopefully I'll have a chance to redeem myself in the second round if I make it that far.
