Nice work on this short here. It was nice to see some of the edge and exaggeration in your work; something that is typically absent from he stuff I've seen from you. Not that having clean work (your usual) is bad. Just refreshing to see some of your artistic range. The monotone color scheme (something I like) was also a nice change of pace. The story was pleasing to read, although, surely debate fuel. Good stuff.

Glad you enjoyed it! :D I do have a few more slice of life comics on the way just since that's the kind of comics I've been reading a lot and loving lately, so it's been fun venturing into that kind of thing.

Really great! Really really great, Angie! I love a depressing little slice o life comic every now and then. And seeing fighters on their "off days" is always fun. Nice layouts and pacing, I felt! I'm not one to nitpick, nothing really jumped out at me while I read it. So I'll just say this, solid work!

haha I watch too many sad movies and read too many sad comics. The next comic ends on a much higher note than this one at least, and I have a few collabs on the way that I think are happier

michaelharris: I really liked this. My only complaint, please use perspective, the more you learn it, the easier it is to fake. Yeah Angie was actually concerned about the perspective issues and reached out to me for some help.... her pages were pretty much laid out or completely drawn … so although she never said so I’m pretty sure it was a struggle for her to redo two of the panels that I pointed out. It would have been cool to had added the before and after pages at the end of the comic to see the massive improvements that went in. Although Angie has a way to go to overcome her fear and feel confident in herself, (and some three point perspective that we’ll get to soon Angie) I think it was the fear of not understanding the simple but yet massively perplexing aspect of perspective that kept her from pursuing it. So with baby steps and a willingness to challenge her self she redid some work on the splash page (thank God!!!!!) And panel one page four, which looks 99% spot on ( except for the floor boards, watch your self on that one Angie) And I hope I got the right impression, but I think for her future comics Angie is going to challenge herself an add more perspective. ☺

Glad all of you enjoyed it! This comic was a real gamble since I randomly started it without any planning and did zero thumbnailing, so I'm glad the experiment was successful. And yeah, Foo I think I should have had just one more panel when she found the body to show a more clear shot of the face.

This is my favorite comic of yours. I can't decide on the colors but I think it worked amazingly well for this particular story, but I really loved your line work. Just seems to have some grit to it, that seems to fit angie's character very well. Other than that i felt it was pretty powerful, you know you did well when you can make the reader feel emotions. And the story definitely made me smile, chuckle, and then the ending made me quite sad and I felt for this nonexistent person. Haha maybe I'm just a sap, but well done :)

Glad you guys like it! And thanks Alberto, you really made perspective a lot easier for me to understand, I couldn't have done it without your help. I just need to obviously iron out drawing the characters in perspective since that was definitely an issue.

Wow!!! Great Job Angie!! Awesome story, I love your pacing and story set up... great job with the tones very nice... Mucho proud of you for tackling those perspective issues it makes a huge difference.... I know we skipped the 3 point stuff, but i think you figured some of it out with panel 1 page sixteen (yes i did go and broke it down just to make sure... laugh) I think the only thing that was off a bit is the way Angela is set up... remember to angle her in the perspective... i think her lower body needed to be slightly shifted to the left. But besides that everything works ... kudos' kiddo! Oh yeah thanks for the credit at the end, i really appreciate it... and I still have a few chips to cash in on the coloring advice... thanks...:)

Still sort of new to the site so I haven't gotten around to reading much of this character's history but as a standalone for me it was really great! I was entertained the whole time and there weren't any parts that felt cheesy or anything. Great art and great writing :3

zthis was real good, I'm glad that you address death like this and made it better that Angie had a sort of bond to the person. Not only that but the tension of having someone you care doing something like that and then having to do what you have to do was executed pretty well.

Awesome! I so much LOVE this story. It makes me want to write better - the fact that it was a "filler" makes it even better. The "humor" at begining made it look like nothing serious, than relationship made me think that it might be just to show Angie cheat on her girlfriend, but then it got complicated and the conclussion was SO good XD Loved the monologue

There actually is a comic in the works that will be dealing with the ongoing story, I'm just not sure when I'm going to get it finished since I've been swamped and have some big scary work deadlines coming up. So I figured it'd be dumb to put off uploading this. My time as a barista has finally been useful for making a comic, yay.
