@ Orange: Despite all the stuff you had to go through the previous week, I'm really impressed that you finished and you still colored all of it. It's inspirational and I seek to do better because if YOU can do it, I certainly should make the effort to post a more completed comic. Good job! @ Sofa: Really sucks about that happening. I can see the quality put in at the beginning, there's no doubt to your skills, unfortunately I couldn't follow through the story very well. @Carlito - its because I've been putting out more effort in general these days, pushing myself as much as I can to turn out something that isn't sketchy, dirty, and loose. Don't get me wrong, I love sketchy, dirty, and loose (oh god now it sounds like I'm making some terrible sexual joke) but at the end of the day that sort of stuff I think is more suited to just sketches and not my final pieces of work. I mean eventually once I get more accustomed to putting out comics in a cleaner style I can incorporate elements of that sketchiness and stuff back in, only make it deliberate and still have all the details register nicely. I think I started trying to make sure all my stuff was cleaner at the end of the last WFA round, since its the biggest event we had and my team was putting out good stuff and I didn't want to let anyone down, but then getting most of those 15 pages to look really tight made me want to keep doing it cause it felt good to have something done for once. Orange- I don't know why your Void work looks so much better then your WFA stuff to me, I think it's the linework... WFA-sketchy, kinda dirty and loose. Void-thick, clean and tight. Both have sweet artwork and awesome color, but Man! I just LOVE the stuff you're doing for this tourny! Yeah the first one was much better but I understand the time stuff that hit you this week, now that you got your comp fixed though, hit em HARD next week! There's a lot of heavy hitters still left, but keep upping the quality and you probably ARE gonna be in the final.

No use doing these battles if you don't at least aim to improve each round. Gotta say that one week is really hard to try and keep doing that on top of college, but still putting out that effort. This was just a shitty week for comics heh :P. Thanks Cherubas, I am glad you like my character and hopefully I can make the story cool. Its just a matter of trying to make what I have in mind fit with the character (or characters like in this case) to fit with what I want to do and not twist up what they've established as well. Its a learning process, especially for me when it comes to writing comics in general, but its been good practice...just really hard to try and organize all my thoughts into a comic since for the most part I only have 3-4 days a week to actually work on these, and this round was especially bad.

Haha, man, its no big deal to me. I had a lot of shit thrown my way over this week and I neglected to properly write the dialogue. I've already gotten flack for that, next comic it will be planned out a bit better heh.

"It's called HATE, thing. You let my fun disappear on me." The first sentence is explaining TO "thing" (which is used as an insult I figure) that what they're talking about is referred to as "hate". The second sentence is showing frustration with the fact that "thing" allowed someone who the speaker planned to have fun with escape. Maybe it's not poetic, but grammatically I don't think there's anything wrong with it. It's perfect American. :P

nice stuff, love the examples of Munkei Sofa King: Dang, Thats a harsh real life dilemma man. A great effort though mind, sweet effects. Orange: Diggin' the lines. Fairly decent action and backgrounds. Nah its not my second language, this was just a really really rushed comic. I had a hell of a week, I was sick at the start and my computer was down for the count until Friday night where I had to reformat and such, so while I had an idea of things I wanted to put in the bubbles I never really fleshed it all out. I also had loads of college HW, so yeah, its not as good I realize that haha.

Interesting, OK, I know you're a first timer here Sofa, but I'm still gonna rip both you and Orange a new one! Orange: Interesting, not as good as your last comic, but it's still pretty good for a last minute comic. Yer dialogue is amazingly awkward however "It's called HATE, thing. Anyway, script out your comic beforehand and work on the dialogue, trim out whatever isn't needed and always speak aloud what you've written. Other than that, I gave you the vote for a finished comic. Sofa: First off, welcome to void. Second, I don't like apology pages, just apologize in the comment box if you have to. OK, you got a lot of promise here, bad luck aside you could probably benefit from having more time next time you decide to battle (which you can do now). As it stands right now, I can't really say much about this comic, I think you should practice without dialogue more often though as again, you've got a lot of potential me thinks. Unfinished comic however means I cannot vote for this. AchYaBam: What happened?! DAMMIT!

Okay, seeing as I'll be busy tomorrow I gotta upload these tonight. This week has been hell for making comics so its a little bit of a cut below colouring wise (and some background details got axed) but I needed to get these done. it was different for me, drawing these on paper and scanning my pencils in and colouring underneath them. If I make it to next round it should be better since my computer is working again and such. Anyway gonna upload in a second here :). Can't wait to see what the other two have :D

So after reformatting and losing all my shit and reinstalling with Windows 7 now (upgraded from XP) it appears I am back in action somewhat! I doubt my entry will have the level of polish that my last one did but I am aiming to still provide an entertaining comic and I apologize if its not quite as good. Definitely I am happy to have this back, I might even be able to get to colouring :). Super relieved now, and I'm not as sick as I was at the start of the week so things are starting to work themselves out, stupid flu/whatever I had >(.
