Yeah, I'm able to get some cleaner stuff out of my pages, it was just hard for me to do 8 pages and keep it looking alright in a manner of a week since I have a lot of college assignments that take my priority first and foremost. You're right though that I was in a rush to get it all done sadly. Colleg has made competing in this quite hard xD. I realize too the pig thing was an easy way out, but by the time I thought of something better there was no way I had time to go back and redo it. It would have been much cooler to have the pig rockstar guy come out and shred a wicked guitar solo, blasting the pig into nothingness...but oh well haha. I appreciate your point with the text though, I should have maybe hand-written it or distorted the text some? As for the text placement I can try and improve that for future comics. Thanks!

hiemie, body in a woodchipper (ha-ha-ha)'s gotta be my favorite death of the sdt so far. way better than the generally ennui of life bullshit. colors are still muddied a bit in places. like on my monitor it was really hard to make out the 'or has it?!' bit. have you ever considered limiting your palette some? i think it would really go a long way with your stuff. moving your angles around would have helped too. actually eating the pig seemed like the easy way out, orange. i was waiting for someone to try it. at least you got a little more creative with it. seriously though, it was ok, but the tablet stuff was looking too loose & too rushed here. pare it down more & aim more for tighter, cleaner stuff. text wise, i think your selection for a font face is self-defeating. i mean i'm supposing you went for something a little wild & scratchy because of your character's nature but at the same time it has proper kerning & nice even rows tracking through it. kinda works against that. beyond that, you need room around it to make the eye go to it. that's both margins & panel borders. having black text buffered straight up against the border of a black panel hurts legibility & the aesthetic of the page. ideally, it's best to just have it sit in the center of a balloon, without cropping out the white space. while that space might seem dead, it does have a purpose to draw the eye.

@Phil: Thanks dude. I figured having the pigs death was going to be a little too easy, but at the time when drawing it I couldn't think of any other way to do it...though I did think of something when it was too late to go and redo a number of pages. I plan on submitting a new character for regular use, though I must say I grew attached to this one and I will miss drawing her in battles haha. There are ressurection tournaments too right. If not there is that month with dead characters coming back alive I think so I can always just draw more of her then haha. Thanks dude! @Gabriel: THanks! When it came to all the pork jokes I didn't want to make too many cause I thought that would be too predictable/expected, but I ended up doing that with my ending anyway. Sorry to hear the story was uneventful, the truth is I am not a very good comic writer yet and have no idea what makes a good comic story. I think I might have confused 'more pages' with 'more story' since everyone told me to give it a bit more content after my last battle. I am saddened I probably will not be able to continue stories with this character here, but its been a learning experience :). I am glad to hear you liked the spinning feet on the Pig. That came from my love for videogames haha.

hiemie --- amigo, i think you are going to single handedly bring back garbage pail kids trading cards, and i would buy them by the crates -- orange -- i was a bit disapointed, but then again maybe thankful that you didnt go all out on the pork jokes. I mean shit, you could have done so much, but the story was just uneventful.--- you have the ability to really build up a good story here!! TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT! i really liked the spinning feet on the pig as he runs away though, that was cute! win goes to hiemie!

Hiemie: I think I might be the only one who understands the Chekhov's joke, and the appearance of Uboa made me smile. I think you should zoom out more often when it comes to action scenes, like when Pig is running, you could show him in the foreground while the silhouettes of the pursuers are right behind him. Gives it a bit more atmosphere and builds up tension towards the end. I did like the mix of humor and horror, but you gotta mix up the camera angles to set up the mood as well. Vote goes to you. Orange: You've got a nice solid comic here, I liked the story and build-up, and your art is much better than in the last round. I'm not too fond of a Pig's death, way too easy to have him eaten, ya know? I do hope that after this round is over, you make a brand new character and submit it for standard battles, you could benefit greatly from longer deadlines.
