pi, short & too the point, which is very good when i'm trying to review & crit 20 some battles the night of haha but this was rather tight. i dug the pencil work, though i might've suggested being a little more selective with it, so certain things pop & others don't pull too much attention. that & it would have given you more time to do that bit where it was just gradient. that was a weird bit of contrast to see after the pencils. oh & huge text. show us more art, don't take up so much space with that. otherwise, it was pretty cool rtv, good action & nice perspective at times, but it wasn't entirely consistent. like the professor's hand on the glass on the first page or how thin your character was in different panels. the text put me to sleep though. it got to the point where it was a hassle to skim it even. i think you're trying way too hard with the dialogue.

Thomas Tan: I couldn't really get the pencils to scan smoothly, does anyone have any tips on making pencil shading look good in photoshop? A lot of the quality of the scan is related to the quality of the scanner. Most scanners that you can buy at your local electronics and appliance store (usually around the $100 area) will suffice. I have a Canon that I bought for around that much that can capture much more of my lines than any average person will see. If that's not an option and you aren't in the market for an upgrade, try scanning, in a color or grayscale mode at around 600-800dpi. Once you scan it, clean it, adjust the levels if necessary, then reduce the image size to 300 or less (dpi). Hope that helps. RTV - If you don't win this tourney, I want my money back!!!! Good stuff....don't make me have to come back in here and clean house with ya.

Angie, i agree on the dialogue. I'm sure you remember me asking about it and now that you mentioned it..everything besides the first page was indeed a filler. Damn yer good ;) Still trying to find that balance. William, the blood is there cuz he ate her from the legs up, i didn't get to the point showing her legs chopped off. Thanks for viewing, people. I'll attempt to incorporate the tips and suggestions.

Pi-this was a nice little experiment, it's been a while since I've really seen you do a complete entry. I think the toning worked very well and I'd like to see you continue with it. I was a little unclear with what was going on between pages 2 and 3, like I did eventually get it, but initially I didn't see where the little ropes came from because you were way zoomed in. RTV-sometime I would like to see you do really really clean pencils because I liked what was going on on your first page, just a little more refining and that would have been a great page. Honestly I kind of preferred this comic when I first saw you upload it and it was silent. You're usually great with dialogue and while this isn't bad by any means, it felt really unnecessary. Like I got the initial idea of what was going on from just looking at the art and the dialogue kind of feels like filler here.

It's good to see you start to attempt shading, texturing and crosshatching Pi. Though it may sound hypocritical coming from me, you just need to practice it some more overall. A bit too short for the story, but kudos for a complete entry. Again though, kinda standard "I got you using my character's gimmick" kinda fare. RTV!, your blacks made me jealous for a moment. Especially on the dino. Nice fighting though and excellent drawings. I like the intro to Mr. King, it was well made. The photoshop glow is kinda out of place and there's a bit of inconsistency in your comic. Not really quality wise but style wise, like it's fine that the intro is different but then the random photoshop and the random red for the blood where there was no other color to be found earlier. And why so much blood for someone who comes out whole from the dino's stomach? But yeah, good shit.

Pi - Simple, but good! Not much to the comic, but I enjoyed it. Rtv! - The blacks you use are fantastic, I love the ones you used on the dino. The latter bit of the story was a bit odd, and the jump from page 6 to 7 was confusing. You have some epic scenes with your action though. I think you could push the poses more. You have so much energy to your action, but Buzz didn't really carry the same energy. The biggest example is when she's skating across King's back.

Ahha, I wish I was a beast with the inks like you, man. King looks ferocious!

Pi that was short but sweet, i like the angles you picked. I know you too were hella busy but i like the quality for the short ammount of time ya had to do it. Loved the Missy trap, i wish i could've gotten to that point. We have to fight with our standard characters someday while we're still around!
