Jet: Kirin REALLY likes to lance fools in the back, huh? XD I'll just say, more great characterization, you've cast the fighters with good personality contrasts that pley well off of each other. A nice downtime before the climax, it'll be cool to see the stuff that wasn't here added to that. I like how you staged the megaton punch, and you worked in the other storylines well, the dismal portrait of battle-ravaged void city was really nice. You create a feeling of doom around the characters somehow, It's gonna be great to see how it ends! Barata: your chibis are masterfull, the one is really funny with the cross design in your thumbs :D amusing little comic,I'm glad you did something. can't wait to see more from you cause you make some good stuff.

phase: i figured void city would dispatch survey ships to fly around and keep a tab on things whenever crazy shit went down... they could be in the story if it's kirin vs kid atom in the next round, but probably not because i'd like to finally give kirin center stage. squid/matt: why won't you guys let me slack off? ;_;

sooo.. jetaime your work is fantastic...in that note, let's nitpick: Page 2, at the start of megaton punch....Kigan's stance is awkward ...i think you could have probably shown his back, while his body worked it's way into a twist to look at the incoming attack.It seems like it's riding the angle of the panel and it's body is just pressed down into that stance. Following that on page 3. his hands raised is....just that....i can't hint a scent of ferocity or anything but the obvious..."blocking". It almost questionably like a surrender "put your hands in the air"...after that, the punch, kigans body pitched to the other end of the city were both great. the fifth panel is questionable. Maybe it called for a pull in...midway, angled, from above.---super specific. You might have kept the characters tiny for too long...then face-shots were a relief. (this has been mentioned) that's it. You're great...i'm keeping my eyes on the ships...maybe this has been explained somewhere, but they're in panel 3---page one of this comic, and last two panels--last page of the comic before this one.

I'm sorry that Jetaime is gonna win this round basically by default, but i'm happy that she'll be going into the final round. It's what i've been hoping to see. Jetaime, i didn't notice the backgrounds that Elio was talking about when i read it the first time... but after going back and looking at it i realise that you used that angle and background for quite a lot of the frames in this one. I know it must be a rush putting all these pages together but whereas your character drawings are beautiful even in this "rough" style your backgrounds in some places could be tighter. Other than those nit-picky things... great job. Baratacom: i look forward to seeing you again here on void.

jetaime, I really enjoyed your inks this time around :D Although, it seems like they're still asking for more tone? I mean, it's just your style seems to be going in the direction of some really dense hatching and stuff, but then you stop short? Also, I think your speech bubbles could be more polished... like, your handwriting could be a little neater. I know it's a tiny criticism, but I think it would improve overall presentation. It looks funny to have very careful artwork and then the bubbles and text are sloppy. I voted a little lower in Entertainment category this time, only cuz it's kind of a slow, in-between comic where it's setting up for the climax and everything. Which I think is fine when you've gotten into the final rounds. I'm very interested in what happens next. :D

Jetaime - I've always loved your stuff. If I could get advanced for a moment; the 3rd panel on the 2nd page, was almost exact as the 5th panel on the 3rd panel. Normally not a big deal, but this killed the comic's momentum. You have a flair for the cinematic set ups, so I expect way more then to use the same background twice so close! ;)

Jet'aime> The last panel was like... A FUCKING BLAST TO MY HEART. I LOVED IT FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY SOUL. I was thrilled just like I was when reading 20th Century Boy! Bara> Funny joke which will forgive your defaulting

oh man Jetaime's entry blew me away again. The details are just fantastic. And I really enjoy the fact that so many of the heroes play a cameo (lovely sekkou needs a turn lol)in Kirin's ongoing story. If there's more as you said, I definitely want to see it. And although its not a big thing, rather a trivial detail, but I wonder why you drew Kid Atom without his helmet? And Kigan's entry, though short, was a rather amusing way to go out. It's great that you didn't default, and even if anyone says otherwise, it's thoughtful that you made an entry despite the fact that you knew you wouldn't be able to complete it.

i am absolutely dreading the potential pagecount for this one.

While it is a pity since I wanted to see Kigan's next move, I also very much like Kirin's character and art style and I hope for more of the same that has kept me rooting for the character. Even now I can't help but to go back and re-read Kirin's previous fights.

@bara: Well, at least you tried, I'm proud of you man, let's get it done in the best way next time. I know how it rolls when you don't feel like drawing something and is forced to. None will bash you for being honest and deciding to drop. Just post at least 3 pages something cuz complete defaults sucks and hurts everybody's feelings @jet: I'm a big fan of your stuff and would like to see how Kirin's story will end. Give em hell! *please don't make something less than awesome just because your opponent openly gave up, or I will be sad >:I - can't see you doing that tough XD Just being sure >_>*

I have no idea who will win, but I know both stories will be very interesting :D

I apologize, but I'm afraid I will have to withdraw from the tournament. It was fun and a good practice, but writing Kigan turned into something I can't handle, and I can't manage to tie together the stuff I left open on my previous fights. I think I bite more than I could chew and I apologize, but the way I have the story and the char right now do not inspire me to draw or create anything worth to post against Jetaime, and I prefer to focus into something I can give my best than just dropping something half-assed over my opponent. I'm already working in a new char and don't plan on disappearing from Void. It's just that Kigan didn't do it for me, sadly. Maybe if I had joined with a comical character like I'm used to write instead of kicking in the serious plot, I would have get attached to the char. But right now, it's just a cool concept, nothing more (at least for me). I thank you all for the support I've been given on the tournament, and promise to give my best on the new stuff I'm doing - it's easier when you actually like what you're doing.
