Jackster, THis was extremely cute, which was nice. The drawings were great, but I would suggest you look at some more knees, they seemed a bit wonky. THe story seemed a bit long winded like it could hvae been 2 or 3 pages less. But great stuff! doodlegirl, the drawings seemed a bit rushed. I know its a night, but there could have been a little more contrast. I would have rather you done it black and white well, rather than half assing some color on it. I like your style and I really want to see qhat you can do if you put some effort into it.

Jackster, yours looked pretty... and really, that's all I can say about it. It was pretty boring, in my opinion. It felt like something i've watched/read a million times, just with different characters, and no unique spin to it. Pretty only gets you so far. Doodle, Yours felt rushed, and I'm sure it was. As a result, it also felt incomplete. Like Delya said, I, too, am curious as to what potion she was going to make. The colors were sloppy, but I still enjoyed them. I just think there should have been more story given, but still, time constraints and all that.

Both felt rather... unfinished to me. :S I mean, they were good but... they just cut off. I wanna know what potion was Millie working on and why? As for Jackster's, the end just... it's like there should have been more to it. Twerp and Squirt look like they're about to go rampage on Mellie and Dolly but.. nothing. D: It just has this static feel at the end. Jackster still gets my votes as his had more to it length and quality wise, but yah... YOU GUYS... WHAT. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT. Not that my own battles are really any better LOL. XD;;

\"a milly a milly a milly\" lil wayne ref anyone?... okay first off... im a dude.. and as far as dudes go.. im pretty dudely...but dammit if Dolly wasnt the cutest thing ever.. it makes me wish atleast for her that october was year round i love that damn character. the comic was awesomely thought out and equally written. i have no crits sides why did you let her die!?.. milly yours was pretty well done too.. a lot shorter but that shouldnt hurt you since you completed everything you intended story wise and it was cute and sorta a halloween card for everyone which is nice. in this battle i give it to Jackster just due to the undeniable awesomeness factor.

It was such a hard call! The quality of Dolly's was amazing, it really looked and felt like a finished Comic I could grab off a shelf. Not to mention it was absolutely stunning. But Milly's had me downright laughing! Both are great in my opinion. Milly your style is so unique and almost grungy it was really fun to read but I seemed to want a little more harsh lines from you, I have no idea why. But your expressions are PRICELESS! And Dolly well...I don't have much to critique in it. It was priceless and the anime puns had me snickering in my nerdiness. Both great comics, I loved it!

NeoIcarus: Finally, where'd Dolly go? I mean she was there until the transformation and then a whole new hero was there afterwards. I mean the big poofy tail seemed familiar but the tiara left me baffled. Dude is that a Fairly Odd Parents reference? I remember something like that from the teeth episode. I'M A CHILD SO IT'S OKAY IF I KNOW THIS. Also Jackster, I''m gay for Dolly. I don't care if she'll be dead tomorrow. SHE'S ALIVE IN MY EYES. Bring her back as an angel dude. DO IT. And yeah doodle, your inking was a bit sloppy, but I liked the shading. I know you were bent on time or something P:

I don't really know why people keep saying the colors are too dark on doodle girls comic. For one: it's night - it's supposed to be dark. For two, there's an excellent range of tones here - the shading is really awesome. I see way too many people who color and shade too flat and lifelessly, and not enough people who offer a more realistic/dynamic range as seen in this comic. It looks good.

Jackster - Very good entry. True a lot of it came off as a bit subtle, but it was still a good read that kept me interested until the end. It gave off this sort of, I don't know, traditional style. A sort of family friendly comic you don't see anywhere else. I like that. What Pong said about the page 4 panel 1, well I think it works both ways, really. I just really liked the happy fun time skipping away from a disheartened Dolly (I could hear the violin playing). And you handled the transformation well. A little long winded, yes, but like Angie, I couldn't find fault with it. Finally, where'd Dolly go? I mean she was there until the transformation and then a whole new hero was there afterwards. I really hope nobody says \"It was only four pages\" because you made a nice complete story in just four and that's respectable. I really liked the 2nd panel on page 1. I don't know, it just sticks out for me. The colors were a bit dark but they didn't really pose any problems until about page 3 onward when Milly started blending into the background. Also, I understand that Milly's hat floats above her head but it seems to just vanish sometimes. Most noticably in panel 3 of page 1. Still I like what I saw and still look forward to more Milly comics. Congrats to both of you for getting a good Halloween battle done on Halloween.

Jackster-I know some people are going to despise that 3 page transformation but it cracked me up and I loved it, that probably has to do with me growing up with Sailor Moon but I really liked how ridiculous and over the top it was. Now I do think that your quality suffered a little from the page count, this lineart just didn't feel as strong as your other stuff. Your anatomy really jumped around on Twerp and Squert so I think working more on your humans would really help you. Other than that I really have no complaints, this battle called out to my childhood. thedoodlegirl-Your story was precious but it felt a little abrupt, I did like the reference to the old obligatory SDT stadium (no one used it this last SDT). Art wise it was good but the colors could have been a bit lighter, perhaps adding a brighter highlight for the moon's light would have really helped. I would also like to see you slow down a bit on your lineart, while you've improved loads since you've gotten to Void, I've always felt that you've rushed your lineart. Great comics from both of you, keep it up!

You two were tied in my mind. You both got good decent art (could be better, for instance a fuller range of shades in yours Jackster, or less sloppy coloring in yours doodlegirl - but good regardless). Stories were both meh. Entertaining enough to keep me reading, but I certainly wasn't on the edge of my seat, or laughing, or reflecting on the experience in my armchair next to a fire afterward. One thing, the first panel of page four Jackster, is like 500 times funnier without the sounds (at least in my mind, but I'm a wild and crazy guy).
