I think everyone pretty much covered it on the art crits, but I'm just going to throw in that it felt sort of overdramatic. Like, \"A Very Special Episode of Marcelo's World\" or something. Good read though, I liked it.

thanks for the crits you guys, and i'll try to have all of those things fixed in my next battle, though i think the anatomy part is gonna take a while to get right... and as for the speech balloons, i used corel painter 2 to do this, and that program doesn't have a pen tool D: so putting them in color was the only way to make them neat and set apart from the background =\\ but i got my hands on photoshop, so let's see what i can do with that! XD thanks again you guys for taking time to suggest and correct things; you have no idea how much i appreciate it! =]

It's good to see another comic from you! While this was nothing new storywise, it was good to see you focus more on your own character outside of Nelson and Macario. I do think you could work on your anatomy a bit, most of the time it looks fine but there are still times where you let it slip. I mostly noticed the head size tends to be too large most of the time. I thought for the mostpart the camera was okay for what was going on, you just tend to do a lot of head on, shoulders/head shots which can get repetitive. It might have helped to have the camera pull out further and give us some more establishing shots. Try to watch your word bubbles, it's really not necessary to have them be different colors. Its best to make it clear who is speaking without needing the assistance of different colors. Keep on working on everything, you're improving! I look forward to seeing your next battle

Actually, unlike RTV! I can maybe suggest that you vary the camera angles, mainly because half of the time every shot of Marcelo is either straight infront of him, or to the side of him. While as kozispoon would probably say: \"We don't need crazy batman angles all the time.\" But in the case of future fights from you I think you could highly benefit from maybe giving the viewers a worms eye view or birds eye view just to mix things up. Story, well lemme just say while reading this I had a \"Been there, done that\" moment, but minus the liquor. But aside from that there really wasn't a whole lot to keep me interested in this comic, perhaps a bit more conflict from the friends, and maybe as I earlier suggested, play with the visuals to make the reader look around and admire the details and such. Overall though, you presented a nicely polished comic and gave us a better look at the life of your character and his personality. I do look forward to you battling again soon.

Good story! I was thoroughly entertained. 'Bout the art though, I feel like the lines could be better. There are kinda bland as there are, like \"eh, I have to outline this, so here I go.\" I know, I'm the same way with coloring. I would REALLY like to see a black-and-white comic from you! I suggest perhaps grabbing some comic books and studying what they do... even if it's like, old Garfield. It may also help to draw smaller? Less to ink that way. I am reeeeeally not a fan of copy & pasted panels, and I can't think of ANY good reason to use them (not that I'm taking a long time to think of one, but..). It appears lazy. For that \"aaand cut\" panel, it may have been a better idea to cut to the director saying that line. That would give a sense of other people actually BEING there, too; as is it actually feels a bit empty. I would think that there'd be more people around, camera dudes and stuff, prop dudes, etc? And this is something of a preference/nitpick, but I would suggest outlining the speech bubbles; I dunno, something about the lineless look seems unprofessional... especially when you can see the feathered egde of where the tail was drawn with a soft Photoshop brush. I have to say I'm becoming a fan of Marcelo. More comix please!

Great story! I was really entertained while reading it and I loved the bit humor in it :3 though it was sad about what happened to Marcelo. :( well...I also the quality was pretty good too. again, good stuff :)

im not good at crits' so i'll leave that to the pro's. i must say it was well written and nicely drawn :3 it made me feel bad for poor little Marcelo.

Excellent read. It actually felt like a TV episode. The pacing was spot on, but i the font you're using for narration is kind of a hindrance. If they were all caps it woulda been okay. But then again, words are words. The drinking part was pretty funny and i felt what Marcel felt when he got yelled at. You got some writing skill there. Rewarding him to drive home with no car was the cruelest joke i've seen in a while, that's how i'd treat my kid. hahahahaha. The colouring job was also eyecandy. I'd suggest different camera angles, but that mighta take the \"chilling in the house feel\" away. Overall i really liked it, even without page 9. (i didn't read the comments out of fear of spoilers.) Keep up the good stuffz...and get yer ass batteling!
