Thanks for all the comments none the less, I keep stubbornly believing I could use tones with a more sketchy sort of style, I keep getting proven wrong in the long run, I'm gonna have to do something about that. ^_^

Neko, what happened? Your art is so many levels below your BB that it's like you let your little sister do it for you. I had a hard time following what was going on. Angie, OMG, 14 pages colored is amazing. And it's not just an eye candy explosion either, you had some good action in there. Looking forward to the epilouge. This is an epic battle.

Thanks Kuro! Yeah, like I said above I was really more concerned with stuff being readable so I didn't do as much with the camera as I could have. I will when I'm a bit more confident in my action since my previous fights when I tried to do different things with the camera people were confused as hell haha

good job guys! angie- excellent action & nice work coloring. It was easy to follow & pretty fun to read. thing that kind of irked me a little; it's an nitpick, but between this & the last battle you had, it looks like the same stretch of sidewalk. that monitor/window/blue glowing bit was cool but i think you should give your backgrounds a little more distinction, whether it's landmarks or the color of the buildings or whatever. aside from that, with the bb & this, some definite leveling up! neko- nice work. being a sucker for violence, yours was as much fun to read with all the stabbing haha my chief thing with yours though was a few points i was having trouble picking out exactly what was going on. there was a few points where i had to keep reading to get the context & go back. that irked me a bit. i gotta say my biggest complaint was that despite all of the action, you varied the angles, but they're from the most part from the same side facing the fight. neko varied it up some but i would have liked to see more. I realize there was a wall on the other side of them, but don't be afraid to move around your cameras a bit more to help bust the action out of 2D space. -J

ya, I'm back bitches!!! anyway, great battle angie, it was a thrill to read. In my opinion, the action was'nt lacking, and I was able to follow the story without any confusion. Even though it just suppose to be a gory fight scene (of collasal cat fight proportions), I felt you could of had better dialogue in it. Besides that, I didn't see any probs, but instead upgrades. More so your textures in the backgroud have improved, and they don't look as flat as they used to, I noticed it since your beyond battle. But, I felt you shouldn't take a break from making fight scenes like this, you should keep going with in up coming battles!!! I know, it's a real bitch, trust on that, but if you keep pushing yourself, you'll get to used to it. With the story, that was a fucking nice touch with the cops not giving a shit about a psycho raping a furry girl, shows how fucked up the system is sometimes(assHOLES). What I liked was the end when she was screaming from getting cut in the eye!!! LOL Well, enough ass-kissing from the psycho, just can't wait for that epilouge, and if I even get my ass in gear, you'll be on my hit-list of opponents. it be an honor! ...and don't forget, I LUV BOOBS!! Well, I'll just make this quick. Angie: Incredible job. I see many improvement points and parts where you tried new things. The last panel was both incredible and emotional. :U And RRRRRRAGH is a better yell when attacking someone. No one says \"Grrr!\" during the act of attack. Neko: Tones would've been an awesome idea if your lines weren't so sketchy. A lot of this was confusing due to the maluse of tones and overuse of sketchy lines. Maybe you can try something else next time or steady your hand while inking to use tones well.

Wow, both you guys did awesome! @angieness: I'm agreeing with what aribooboo said, you keep on improving so much with each comic, it's amazing :3 keep up the great stuff. I think the pose on page 11 looks awesome btw. @DJ Neko: I really liked the tones, but the lines were pretty...hmm, sketchy. Other than that, I think you did a pretty nice job ;3

Angie: It's amazing how you always manage to get 10+ fully-colored, fully-detailed pages done. Excellent colors, excellent details. Though I think you've gotten to the point where you're maybe even TOO detailed. With that amount of detail in your background, it will help to make your figures stand out more - leave a halo around your figures, color them brighter than the BG, something! It will make the action easier to read. And on the panels with the intense horizontal motion, the vertically-falling raindrops really work against the flow of the action. When making something look \"actiony\" in comics, it does good to fake things a bit, like you did with the exaggerated anatomy. Making the raindrops fly in the same direction as Angie when she's rushing at Scarlett would have helped the flow, even though it's not exactly \"correct.\" Another way to help the action along would be to blur the backgrounds more - the detailed, beautiful textures are awesome for still shots and establishing shots, but they work against motion. I think your main problem with successfully depicting action stems from your tendency to go crazy with the colors and the details, I get the impression that in the original black & white, these comics read clear as a bell. And if I can nitpick further, all of your panels are pretty much the same size (excluding the full-pagers). Give more important panels more real estate than their neighbors. Wow, that sounds like a lot of \"you did this and this and this wrong.\" Sorry. Among all the nitpicks, I forgot to mention how this comic blew my socks off. ^^; You're an excellent colorist, you make me care about the characters, and after seeing a bunch of emo and shopping (which is of course all well and good), it was fun to see a brutal street brawl and some bitches getting CUT. >:D DJ Neko: thank you thank you THANK YOU for not resorting to the ever-popular and thoroughly bland grayscale wash when you ran out of time for full-color. Your pages are beautiful to look at, it's a shame it's hard to tell what's going on. I love the chunky-tone look and I think it looks great with your drawing, but these tones make it unclear where Item A ends and Item B begins. I'm just sort of wishing you went through the thing just ONE MORE TIME with the eraser tool. Your paneling is done very well, the panels had plenty of room to breathe and there was never confusion about which one came first. And about the story.... damn, Scarlett gets a nomination from me for Biggest Bitch in VOID. I mean, wow, she whines for three panels straight about her stupid leg while Angie lies dying in the gutter... and \"at least you won't have to...\" Brutal. Your character has a lot of CHARACTER, I love it! This battle was excellent on both sides! Can't wait to see Part 7, or whatever one we're on now. :3

Thanks for the comments guys! Yeah, I'm always trying to work on my humans and clothing folds since I know I have issues with them. I'm glad that my action came across as clear, I know I could have been a lot more dynamic but I was a lot more focused on people being able to read it over being flashy. I really gave this battle my all so I'm glad you guys enjoyed it

I love the textures you're using for the background, it really adds a lot <3 And I think your action panels are becoming a little more clear this time around. I liked how you drew the blood though, dunno why ( cuz you made it look runny...and i love it when blood looks runny XD ) Also the way you drew Anigie too =3 i think your line work was pretty good, at least around where you drew eyes ( i like how you drew them ). Well. I'm going to let people know right now, my battle was done in the last week of the deadline. Mostly because of family issues at home. My father was being confronted with his alcohol addiction in my family so that required plenty of time on my part over at the home front. I wasn't, however, going to cancel the battle because I'm sure I would never do it otherwise. Sorry for the quality, but I did it for the sake of the story that needed to be told between Angie and Scarlett.

well.. i think i already expressed to angieness how good i thought this was. you did a great job.. colors are good but im really impressed with where yur taking yur lines these days. cant wait to get our story goin. neko: yur side wasnt bad but i think you should have used a differant form of toning.. the dot tones are cool sometimes but with yur line work in this one it just made it seem messy and hard to figure out in some of the impact panels.. soft one color tones might have helped.. maybe sep colors for each of the chars if you just needed shading filler and it might have helped pick out what was happening a little better since you didnt have as much time due to at home things. hope it doesnt disscourage youwhen working on the epilogue cause i am very curious what happens next for scarlett.. nice work guys..

Angie: I'm not going to nitpick each panel. (Here. I've poked you about things on AIM.. and will continue to do so. :P) I loved the effort and time you put in this. Full color. 14 pages. Hard work on action. You always put a foot forward to work on the suggestions from previous rounds and seek help to improve. Always impressive to me. I will nitpick a BIT that you still need to work on your humans a bit. Some pages Scarlett looked a bit odd and her hands were kinda odd to me... but that might just be a preference thing, too. You have great grasp of things, but the way you have clothing on some of the moves made me wonder if you're using them to cover up a bit too much the flow of bodies and how they would lie on the form. Ya know? I might be off in left field(I usually am, I think) but maybe some work with less clothing to work on body forms and movements might help a bit. Cheers on the fabulous match. Neko: I know you've got a bunch on your plate, so I'm glad you got stuff done for this. Hope things work out well at home. /e-hugs I will comment that I sometimes get confused at what is happening in your panels sometimes. They're lively and vivid, but there's so much going on, line-wise, that I get lost when they're small. I think you might want to clear your lines up a bit when you're going to do smaller pages/panels, as it'll help. Again, love the way you do such lively faces and movements. Angie got higher marks for me overall. Great match to the both of you.

Awesome encounter conclusion! And great SCARlett scar, hehe. Angie: That's hot stuff you got there. Loved the colourings, and on this part, only one thing didnt'd fall weel with me, which was the blue blurred highlights, which was strange on bigger panels, like, misaligned, misplaced or unprecise, like in the big page with angie jumping. Just a nitpick, tyhough, maybe it could be more consistent, instead of many strokes, as it was there, since it took always the shape of the claw, and also made it looking like it's emitting light, instead of reflecting the blue light of the walls. There are other closeup panels with that same problem. Except for this, everything is cool! The panelling was very nice too, though, that's just personal, I don't like much of the use of black gutters, but no biggie. I loved the lines, you've been improving a lot with every fight! I noticed you detailed the walls a lot, but I feel the colors did make it pop, so maybe, next time you don't need to be THAT cautelous, if it's going to be this dark. But maybe it's just my monitor. The Scarlett scar image is fucking awesome, btw! Neko: Uh, honestly, for 4 weeks, the quality was a bit of a let down, specially considering previous work, and the battle at arcadia, or the BB, even more. I did though, enjoy the way you drawed Angie, and the violent tones you put in there, I really felt the impact, ehhe. I had a few problems figuring Angies new scar, the belly cut, I guess? My votes goes to Angie for quality specially, though I think you both were very nice on the other topics! Good Luck!
