I have NO idea how you two managed to create so much art/story in just a week. Monday, of all the battles ('cept Squiddo), I love your story concept the most. Great action as well! ME Charm, I gave you the slight edge in the votes. The consistency of the art and mood over so many pages just couldn't be denied. I'm in awe of you both.

Any comments I would've said have been said already, although I disagree with some. I felt both comics were very entertaining and more or less in character. I read Hot Chick's previous comics and I do agree it's all rather heavy reading and some humor or at least a non-emo moment would really help his character. This comic standing alone, however, was good story-wise. Monday's comic was insanely good as usual although I had to look carefully to follow the action. Amazing job, both comics, I wish both could've made it to the finals (oh well).

Good stuff from both sides. But allow me to slug the both on just drawing styles: Monday: Your drawings are getting better, but I think your drawings still need to go through a little bit more evolution. I enjoy your pacing and quick action, but a lot of your stuff is really hard to make out. The second the reader loses track of what’s going on, has to make out anything, or gets lost, is the second you lose the reader. I understand not everyone can instantly see every single drawing you every make, and make sense of it, but it should at least look like you tired to cater to them. I understand this was only a week battle but this is just reference for future projects. My suggestion would be to re draw panels twice or even three times to give yourself a better grasp of what needs to be there and what doesn’t. Instead of just straight shooting with a pen. Don’t confuse me though, when I say things should be easier to read or cleaner, that doesn’t mean you have to water down your bitchin style, speed, lines, action or details. There is a way to keep all that but make it easier for the reader. Rock on. Charmy: I love your animation/anime camera angles and action, some of your drawings are great, like when your chicken is getting sliced, and his expression and angle. But there is a lot of inconsistency in your comic. If I’m correct, I could tell you use or once used animation as a reference for your drawings, (who didn’t) however, this presents it’s own set of problems. Because once you begin drawing your own stuff and you have a scene that you can’t imagine clearly, instead of it ultimately looking nice and set up, it looks wonky because you couldn’t reference it immediately. It’s just something I’ve noticed. I wouldn’t worry too much because the more you draw, the better your imagination will get (your proving it already). Also, I know it’s only a week battle, but in the future, work on your panel construction, instead of just black and squares, that’s the easy way out, and I believe your comics would benefit from a more interesting pacing.

Wow. I really enjoyed both comics. Monday had good fast paced action with just the right amount of BG info. The way everything was presented was fun, and the words were legible! Congrats to Monday for cutting down on the script edits that typically plague his work (okay, \"plague\" is overkill). Well written and good quality. Charm's was just as good in it's own way. Very creative and original, great graphics, the shebang. One thing sorta bugged me though, the terrible two seemed out of character compared to Monday's comic. That's not nessisaryrally bad, just a shock at the difference. Good luck to both of you.

Wow,its cause of comments like these that I get to really know where I'm consistently creaking in my ability. In a day's time, I shall try to tweak my habits for better anatomy and consistent planning simply because it takes an outsider's point of view to notice quirks in my methodology. thanks for the hats you guys, and Charmy especially for giving me an insane rush for my money. It's always a pleasure doing battles here

I had to digest these battles for a day before I could even think about commenting on them. Despite all the hype here, this was not one of my favorite matches. Niether comic is really that entertaining. Monday: The idea is cool but this comic is like an over elaborate machine that's mechanism keeps jamming up because of all of its excess intricacies. There's a lot being said and explained, but really not all that much is happening. It's decently entertaining, but it moves in leaps and bounds, stops, then leaps and jumps around some more. It takes some effort to wallow through this comic. The art is ok, you only had a week. I kind of disagree with Kure here, but I'm probably the odd one out in liking your slight anomalies of anatomy. It's like folk-art manga. I dig it. It's really the pencil and other hurried things that bring it down I think. Charmy: This just wasn't that entertaining. I read it yesterday, and today I can't even remember what it was about. I remember it made sense, but I don't remember what it was about. The art was pretty good for a week, you craftily hid your lack of backgrounds by making the backgrounds dark and black - they're not there, but it doesn't look bad. I don't have much else to say about these comics.

I thoroughly enjoyed both battles and I honestly gave both of you even scores. Both of you need work on clarity though, in both battles I had a difficult time telling exactly what was going on. In Charm's I could have done without the masks on the Terrible Two as it was obvious you were using it to avoid drawing humans.

monday i liked the concept behind your battle but itooculd have been handledalot better, you gotta work on your anatomy man big style, its the thing that distracts me the most when i read your stuff and i feel it makes your art work suffer. As for execution of story your stuff can be hard to read, its got an odd flow to it wich usually means it takes me a coupla reads before i understand whats going on. Also variety in story is needed since this could have easily been an agent black story, mix up them character types dude! Charm i also enjoyed the concept behind yours but like monday it could have been handled better.(by concept i mean the strange victorean style image of the afterlife and fighting for memory) Id have thought that hot chick would have hardened abit being dead and all but he was still pretty weepy, plus the inclusion of the ghost baby just makes me think \"ah so like hell be looking after and protecting the baby for the rest of the tourney eh?\" i dunno it kinda sets up a predictibility in future fights. The line art wasnt strong, you used colour to hide the fact that in most instances youd actually drawn little or no backgrounds I was also bugged by the way you spaced your panels, there was far too much black dividing them. All in all im stuck, both these battles had faults and points i liked to them. I guess ill have to mark them pretty equally.

I don't understand why Monday is losing. His has lush detailed inkwork, dynamic action, twisted conceptual design, and that slick, dark intrigue he's best at slinging, while Charm's had sloppy backgrounds hidden with profuse amounts of dark flats, bland action, the same unchanging Emo-Chick we've seen in his last few fights, a clumsy and unsuccessful timeline jumble, and a random sex scene? I don't understand.

Monday your comics art so creative and so interesting that it's astounding. and while i like your loose messy kind of style it sometimes loses me. sometimes the focus gets lost in the mess of lines and characters aren't defined and i kind of have to go back to see exactly what's going on. also your anatomy needs work. sometimes the poses are fluid and unique but alot of times they seem stiff and uninteresting also alot of times heads are too big or legs are too short. my main problem with this is page 3 when they are running from the falling bodies. but overall there was alot of creative stuff in your battle and estrella walking down the invisible stairs with blood was fantastic. oh and how did he pull her back on a string that is unwinding and how did they grab ahold if it is frictionless and would most likely cut their fingers off? just wondering. but i gave this battle to you. Charm somehow i think your comic confused me more than monday's did. i don't mean story wise either i just mean i get lost from one panel to another or from one page to another and had to re-read alot. artwise hotchick was drawn well as always and i actually liked the dark limited backgrounds because it set a mood. but the people were so bad compared to the rest of your artwork that it just threw me off. also the flash backs while set in a different tone to make it noticable different just wasn't really done well and seemed to be stuck in there at random. but i think my main problem with yours are the characters. i know there is supposed to be artistic freedom with others characters but you reduced monday's sick contraption to wire handcuffs holding them together. first off where are their suits that make them stronger but also threaten to explode. second where is the explosion when one of them dies? this is a pivotal thing to their character and their actions and you cut it out entirely. so overall i liked your drawings of hotchick and the story was nifty but that's about it. good luck to whoever wins.

Sorry Monday, but Hot Chick won this for me. It's been stated before that Hot Chick's is very surreal, and he steps away from what everyone expects to be a comic. He went with more story and character building, except for mindless fighting. Within a week Charm created a good story with very eye pleasing art to back it up, and Monday's seemed to sketchy, with I believe Hot Chick's personality wrong. Don't admit defeat Charm, you took a risk for your comic, and I'm happy with it. It would be a shame if you lost this fight. Here's to hoping. :)

Okay, I was reading Monday's, and thinking, \"there's no way M. E. Charm will be able to top this.\" Then I read M. E. Charm's and thought differently. THIS is what VOID is all about: when two people bring so much awesome that you don't know which to choose. Monday's was crazy-cool, like alwaysGreat action and great art. I especially like the last panel. But Hot Chick won me over. The entry took me to a more surreal and more chilling place than the Terrible Two did. That's the kind of thing I really go for. That might be a personal preference, since my tastes are in things like Utena and Angel's Egg, but still, Hot Chick took me somewhere that very few VOID battles really do. And now I'm going to lay down on the kitchen floor until the room stopd spinning.

I hate you both. One of you has to stay dead. :( Maybe both of you. Anyway. Firstly, I'd like to say: DAMN. I think you both did a great job. I dunno. If people wanna argue that there wasn't enough \"stepping out of the box\" or whatever, fine. They can do that. I think both of you pretty much kept to what you do best, and it works fine for you. I find that Monday's plot confused me. Monday's plots always confuse me. Monday is awesome because of that. Haha. I think that his was awesome, although...after seeing those amazawesome colors, I really wanted more. :'( :'( :'( I know your monochrome stuff is sextacular, but fuck. So are your colors. On the plot, I felt like there maybe should have been more from Hot Chick. I dunno. It was great stuff, as always, but it didn't strike me as \"Well, fuck me in half.\" so much as \"That was pretty cool\". Some of you stuff definitely fucked me in half. Haha. Charm. Oh Charm. What can I say? Sex and violence. It's a great combination, but I believe someone mentioned before that it wasn't very meaty. I tend to agree. It was tasty, but not very filling, and now I feel like I need a big glass of water to wash it down, y'know? Still, I like candy. Candy can be good. Overall, I think you did a better job at story, since you involved both characters a lot. I always liked that you did that in all of your comics, from what I remmber. My overall choice is that you both pretty much tied. Haha. :| Can both of you win? Please. Oh well.

Art-wise I liked both of them, very different but well developed in each ones. Charm's could work with less darkening on the backgrounds, though. Monday's fortunatelly was able to pull an organized chaos in the ink, so I didn't fell much lost today :P Story-wise, there was some points that confused me in Charm's like there was some parts that the characters were wearing and not wering masks in adjacent panels, and it kept on changing, but the plot is real tough, even though i suppose it only developed on the Terrible Two side, which would die, if the Chick wins :P. Monday takes a bit of time to enter in the fight itself but was really worthy, as he did a pleasant and intelectual concpting of the \"underworld\", or whatever it's called :P Good luck you both, you deserve it!

you both get hell respect for the volume count in such a short time frame. charmy, its just what i dont like that would hurt your votes if i COULD vote. yours has this healthy unbalance of poetic drama and action. the action is obviously the side that lacks. your story was thick and the plot line was great, but you need to mix up the tone if you want to keep people reading. monday, amazing. your words are totally abstract and your action is off the hook. however, its your CONCEPTUAL ability that impresses me the most. the giant soul eaters, people being \"heavy with sin\" causing them to fall, and my favourite, the inivisible bleeding stairs estrella walks down on...goddamn man. all these little touches and clicks reall hit home with me, because you are able to shoot my perception to another place in an instant with your creativity. well done. like i said if i could vote, its all mondays, bu only just.

I have a migraine, so I can't leave too much detail here but I'll go for a blunt run down instead. Pio, you took it for me. Mostly because there was more... MEAT to your entry. More dynamic. More story. All in all, I simply enjoyed your entry more. Charmy, it just felt like same ol' same ol' from Hot Chick. Emo, tears, and nothing more. I had hoped to see a different side to Hot Chick after... ya know... dying. Art wise, nice entry. Everything else... try something new.

since most people are leaving unrestrained praise, i think i will leave some crit for you guys. monday: all your characters are treated the same, your comic style never changes, mix it up, these guys should feel different then agent black. also you cold totally use some work on your human anatomy and learn to loosen up your poses. and your comics are such a chore to read! great compositions as usual though. charmy: i know you dont like drawing people, but i'd say toughen up a bit and put up with it until you are really good at it, since like, the masks you drew were better faces then the actual faces, kinda weeeeeiiiiirrrrd. but your compositions are good too. good job you guys

Oh my spirits from battles long past are rising to battle once again. I find bother characters awsome, also how'd you guys get all off this done in one week? It was a hard pick, however I found the hot chick more appealing as a charcter, the two were a bit to gritty and gruny for my tastes. If the hot chick actual makes it out of this mess I'd like him and Koufuyo to be allies; us somewhat good monster types have to stick together.

I'm kinda hit and miss with this fight. Monday: Hit! Visually it's kinda the same as your previous fights, but everything is looking alot cleaner and easier to follow. For this character (unlike the SDT last year) this is a step up from what you've previously done. Storywise you have my vote dude, it was just a bit confusing at first but I was able to figure out what was happening, but as I read further you pulled this comic off well. My vote is for you. Charmy: Miss! Artwise this was good, but you used way too many blacks and characters and backgrounds just faded from the comic. This really hurt you entertainment wise since you seemed to be skipping from present tense and past tense in this comic alot, which also really didn't seem to do much for me to care about either character presented here. I gave ya high marks on quality, but trying to tug on our heartstrings by pulling the emo card with each fight just makes me feel like you're beating a dead horse. We've cried along side hot chick, why can't we see a lighter side to the character to make us love the bastard? Monday, I hope you take it all the way, but good luck to the two of you.

Both epic, quite epic. Two great comics in only one week. Amazing. Monday, yours was stupendous, and it was just the kind of amazing, off-the-wall move stunt stuff I thought they'd be pulling. The depiction of Hot Chick was good as well, like some kind of flying flaming super bullet. My only problem was that it seemed almost parodied, the way he just kind of blasts the soldiers, then is like, \"OMG, I blasted those guys. No wai, I'm goin' to hell.\" Also, hey, M. E. Charm did Terrible Two sex. Why didn't you do Hot Chick x Dolly's Ghost? Now that would have been epic. M. E. Charm, the quality seemed to skip around just a bit, but stayed consistantly great. Just some panels were better than others, you see. It's still amazing what a storyline you can pull off with fried chicken. You should start your own fast food restaraunt. The only thing that seemed kind of wierd to me so far as battle planning went was how every time the Terrible Two seemed to gain the upper hand they actually got more vulnerable. That was kind of wierd. No big problem though. Impressive, very impressive, especially on the time span.
